The city is interesting but you can easily see all the important sights in one day. The best thing about the city is its location since you can very quickly reach any of the bigger cities in a reasonable amount of time by public transport

Definitely visit Schloss Rastatt.
Definitely visit Schloss Rastatt. We had a private tour with a very good, knowledgeable guide. Schloss Rastatt Favorite is also a must see. You could use Rastatt as a base to explore the surrounding area...Baden-Baden, Schwarzwald etc. We had a great meal at Lehners Wirtshaus. Reasonably priced, delicious German food and beer. We sat outside under the trees overlooking the Schlossgarten. Lovely!

I think Rastatt could be a hidden gem.
I think Rastatt could be a hidden gem. There is scope for them to add more furniture and decoration to the palace and realty market that. The area around the palace and gardens is really nice and could be marketed as an upmarket "couples" destination.
Lovely location, smack bang in the middle of Rastatt which was a lovely little town with some stunning architecture. Very cheap for the location but quality didn't suffer as a result. Room was clean and tidy and the shared bathroom and toilet facilities were fine. Proprietor allowed me to have towels for free, although a number of reviews mentioned that they needed to be paid for. Some lovely cafes and bars nearby.
Really nice, modern and clean hotel. Friendly and helpful staff and sufficient parking at or around the hotel. The rooms are very nice looking and the beds are pretty comfortable. Everything was pretty clean. We've had good wifi coverage. Our 1.5years daughter had a blast in the family room and at the hub where there are a few toys for all ages.
During my stay at Hotel Schiff, I was thoroughly impressed by its cleanliness and tidiness. The rooms were immaculate, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. The attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness truly enhanced my experience. I would highly recommend Hotel Schiff to anyone seeking a comfortable and pristine accommodation option.
The room was clean and comfortable. The check-in process was seamless and didn't require any personal interaction, so can be done at any time.
The breakfast was also nice and overall value is very good for the price.
I left some personal belongings in the hotel, and the staff was very kind to send them to me by post!
the hotel is a large old house restored inside with modern and functional solutions, clean even in the smallest details. the staff has been friendly, polite and helpful. I had the opportunity to have dinner at the hotel paying only 11.00 euros. The dinner was good and plentiful. Thanks for the great service.
This hotel is extremely satisfactory. The rooms are well-equipped, clean, spacious and the multiple supermarkets nearby make the whole configuration ultra convenient. Moreover, the breakfast aera was very pleasant and the offered food met every expectation one can imagine.
The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the kettle and tea/coffee in the room were really appreciated. The breakfast was great with wide range of fruits. Free parking lot by the hotel with no hassle was also a plus.
The family rooms are big so you have a good amount of space even after adding spare beds. Hotel offers clean facilities. It is a good stopover choice if travelling onwards to southern destinations as it is just off the highway.
The hotel has a quite good location. It's only 10 minutes from a train station or the city center. The personnel was nice, polite, and always willing to help. We were satisfied with the cleaning and the quietness in the room.
A family run small hotel over the family's teashop almost next door to Rastatt's huge old palace.
