The cottages were very fantastic. Plenty of room; they had everything we needed. The view of the mountain, wildlife at our front door and wood fire were all features we enjoyed. The pick up and drop off to/from the restaurant was unexpected but much appreciated.

The farm was clean, tidy and easy to maintain. There was plenty of room for the four of us, the kitchen and bathrooms were extremely clean and functional. The living area was spacious and we loved the wood heater. Cooking was very easy, gas stove excellent

Nice cabin with a well appointed kitchen. The area is great if you want to hike some of the trails in the Grampians or play a round at the 'Grampians Golf Club'. It was also nice to sit on the veranda with a glass of wine at sunset to see the gum tree opposite the cabin come alive.

Dunkeld is full of wild life - watch out for the wallabies and kangaroos and emus, they are everywhere, especially on the roads. Visit for the walks and trails and the incredibly peace of Grampians with out the business of Halls Gap.

This lovely property was very large and provided all facilities. Very suitable for self-catering. The setting is stunning - teemed with birds and other classic Australin wildlife. We spent most of our time just soaking up the location from the patio. A car is necessary for access as the property is a little out of the village. Car also required to access the walks and sights within the nearby National Park. Don't arrive late as we did - by 7.30pm all shops and eateries in Dunkeld were closed and we had to drive to the neighbouring town of Hamilton to find food.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

A terrific little town which has been revitalised so well - with lovely amenities (except fresh fruit and vegetables), but good coffee ( the caravans are great for coffee and pizza). Easy to walk around and it has easy access to walks further out of town. The pub of course is excellent as are the restaurants!

We wanted to do several southern Grampian walks. For this Dunkeld is the perfect base. The town is tiny so plan your evening meals carefully. At the time of our visit the options were basic and very limited.

Dunkeld is beautiful, situated right under Mt Sturgeon and on the main Melbourne road a short distance from Hamilton. Just enough facilities for all you need without the crowds. The Grampians are well worth a trip, be it on the way or by detouring to take in the sites. There are many sites and a few days would be better than one but we were pressed for time. Dunkeld is small and easy to navigate but the town appears to have limited accommodation. That is the reason we chose to visit the area, which did not disappoint. The accommodation was all that was available at the time but it has a lot of character and we found it a delightful place to stay.JaneAustralia

The kitchen was well equipped and functional and the lounge area was super comfortable with a great TV and heating/cooling. The beds were amazing, very comfortable with luxurious bed linen. It was really clean and the host was most welcoming, providing lovely touches such as chocolates and fresh milk. The location was fantastic being a five minute stroll to The Royal Mail Hotel.

It is beautifully renovated and furnished with everything needed for a relaxing weekend away. I stayed during winter and the house was warm and cozy. The huge windows look out onto fields and open space. The front of the house overlooks Mt Sturgeon in the distance and it’s stunning. We walked through the adjacent sports field to have dinner at the Royal Mail Hotel.
