I would look for somewhere else to stay other than Mecure.
I would look for somewhere else to stay other than Mecure. sugest all seasons in stead.
A Credit Card Deposit demanded on the room was unjustified as room had been paid in full in advance.
We do not live in a cashless society and nor should we their policy and procedures need to change, this is Australia not France.
I was forced to pay up $ 100 cash deposit on late check in and went hungry all night as had no other money to purchase food after traveling for work all day.

Exhibition at Art Gallery - Impressions of Life Paris 1880-1925 - excellent.
Also impressed with visit to the Great Stupa near Eaglehawk.
On previous visits we have enjoyed the tram trip and excellent tulip displays at tulip time.
Bendigo is an all-round interesting city.

Bendigo is a large town and has many suburbs. Eaglehawk (where we stayed) is a smaller area within Bendigo. Not too much going on apart from having a couple of birds of prey in the name. Still pretty sweet.

Terrific autumn day in Bendigo - visited the art gallery and the Paris exhibition, which was great, then down to the woolen mills for some knitting supplies. Topped off by an exceptional meal at Mason's of Bendigo - the best meal on our three week holiday. We loved it.

This is the perfect place for sightseeing!
This is the perfect place for sightseeing! It's filled with rich history and interesting places to visit, such as the cathedral, parks, tram tour, Alexandra Fountain, and gold mine tour. It's a beautiful little town that's perfect for exploring and offers a truly peaceful and relaxing experience.
Declan and the friendly staff made us feel welcome. The trouble free contact-less check-in and digital keyless room access were perfect in these Covid times. The room was very clean and comfortable and with excellent heating. The location could not be improved as it was only a few blocks from the centre of Bendigo and with a bus stop adjacent to the door. There is an excellent hotel for meals next door and many cafes around for coffee and snacks. The mini-bar was well stocked and prices were fair.
Came for the Elvis exhibition (must see by the way) and had booked a king room at the Oval Motel not expecting to be staying in THE King Room.
The level of commitment to theming the room was next level and an unexpected but lovely surprise.
Staff were wonderful, you can SMS for beers which is genius and it was literally 5 minutes to the exhibition and then a short walk further into town to explore all the amazing food and sights that Bendigo has to offer.
The Hotel Shamrock is brilliantly located right in the heart of the lovely town of Bendigo. It’s a beautiful old dame of a hotel. It’s seen better years. The room carpet in particular tells many stories of wine spills and goodness knows what else. However the bathroom, towels and bed linen are sparkingly clean. Hopefully a return to a healthy tourism industry will help the Shamrock update this gorgeous building.
We stay in a lot of Motels around Australia & this motel would have to be the most comfortable place my family has stayed at. So much room in the apartment and very tidy, and beds where so comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and the large kitchen had everything you needed. Hotel next door has great meals and close to a lot of take away meals and the main street of Bendigo.
Everything from location, comfortable furnishings & bedding, cleanliness (very high standard) ,styling , breakfast (very thoughtful), toiletries (smelt divine) . Over the last 10 years ( having two boys attend school & be apart of the Bendigo Pioneer’s program) we have stayed at many motels & apartments & Mark & Kate’s Place is definitely ranked high in our top 5.
Last minute trip due to our cairns holiday being cancelled & here did not disappoint, we absolutely loved it! The room was so clean & comfortable, the pool was a fab bonus & the staff are so friendly it was like home from home! Close to the centre of bendigo so a lot of things to do or just stay at the motel for a relaxing day!
The hotel was beautifully presented and the room was large, exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable - neither too hard nor too soft. The staff were very professional and friendly. Perhaps the best feature was the location, within short walking distance of many of the things we wanted to see in Bendigo.
The breakfast was excellent, the motel was almost opposite the Art Gallery, our reason for visiting Bendigo. The motel suggested we might like to leave our car and collect it after our visit. We appreciated not having to find parking.
We liked the charm/decor of this historic hotel. Despite it's age the Shamrock offered a level of comfort, cleanliness and service comparable to any modern accommodation. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful.
There is another Quest hotel right in the centre of Bendigo, but this one is much more spacious, has more comfortable parking, a swimming pool and enormous rooms in the apartment. Still very close to centre of town.
Our overnight stay in Bendigo was amazing. Easy to find, facilities clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for a family of 5- plenty of room. WiFi and TV facilities great.
I was surprised at how nice it is, and don't understand why it only has a 3 star rating. I've stayed at plenty of hotels and motels with higher ratings that weren't as nice. Will definitely stay there again.
Location to Bendigo City Centre was in Walking distance so we didn't have to worry about finding parking.
We walked around the Lake before we headed into the Bendigo Arts Centre to see the Elvis Exhibition.
It is very central. Right in the middle school of Bendigo. 10 minutes walk from the station or 2 mins in a cab. Close to supermarkets and restaurants.
The room was clean and bed comfortable
The room was very clean and staff were very welcoming and friendly. They accommodated our early checkout would recommend to anyone needing somewhere to stay in Bendigo.
comfortable bed, nice modern bathroom, friendly staff, good bistro food at attached pub, around 15 minute walk to city centre opposite Deborah mine and tram stop
