Everything went well. Nice, older style rooms with a good modern cafe/restaurant attached. The facilities are fine, but side tables etc a little bit worn. Which is fine for the money we paid. But not 5 star quality.

Ballarat is terrific.
Ballarat is terrific. Full of history, culture and shopping. Lake Wendouree and the Botanic gardens are always a delight. Lunch at Craigs Hotel Atrium was very special and a good price. The Gallery always has something new to see as the exhibits change often. Eureka Stockade museum is a really good exhibition and tells the story of the Rebellion. The King Bakery on Sturt street has THE BEST vanilla slices and meat pies. Yellow Espresso next door does a great coffee too. Op shops are well situated. Messer & Opie is a really nice Men's & Women's clothing shop in the Bridge street Mall. I would have liked to have walked in the downtown area but I didn't know how to pay for parking. The main purpose of being in Ballarat was to visit Sovereign Hill which we could have spent so much more time at. This was better than we had expected. Ballarat is a historical gem, it reeks of history everywhere you go and is easy to get around. The restaurants, cafes, pubs and people we met were all great. Lovely historic town.
Lovely historic town. I came for the marathon this trip and only stayed the weekend. Have been before many years ago and was reminded what a terrific place Ballarat is. I'll be staying longer next time

For families, it would have to be one of the best hotels that I have seen and such good value. The family room was large with 4 beds. There was a sitting area and kitchenette. The facilities though are the best part of this property. There is a free of charge laundry with washing powder, a games room, indoor tennis court, gym, sauna and incredible indoor heated pool and spa. Absolutely fantastic for families.NaomiUnited States

Upstairs kitchen/living room was well appointed and lovely furniture. Was too hot to go outside on upper balcony and we had to keep the blinds down during the day. But it was really hot (for Ballarat!) Garage couldn’t take my work van but would fit normal compact or SUV fine. Pretty much faultless, and great value for money for two work colleagues when compared to a hotel.
