Good location - close to the epic hiking trails, but further from the bus station.
Hospitable staff !!!
For the breakfast they provided scrambled eggs (just without any vegetables) - that's a plus compared to other hosterias/lodges I have stayed throughout my trip in South Patagonia.
Hair dryer was not provided in the room but you can barrow it at the reception!

Beautiful town, lots of places to eat and have a beer; know that the weather is extremely unpredictable and hardcore: we had insane winds when we there in beginning of April. We got lucky enough to see Mt Fitz Roy the first day we were there but every day after (3 days) it was covered in clouds, so take that into account for your trip!

Amazing place that can be the base for many adventures!
Amazing place that can be the base for many adventures! We planned our trip to Patagonia leaving more time for El Calafate, but we left thinking we would have preferred to switch this! In El Calafate, everything is much more tourist like and you need to pay for basically every tour you’re going to.
Chalten felt more chilled and like you can just leave the hostel and go do your own thing without necessarily paying for an agency to take you somewhere.
It’s a very charming little place with great food and local beers available, so very cosy and welcoming after a long day of hiking

We loved El Chalten!! The hiking is incredible!
We loved El Chalten!! The hiking is incredible! And the town is adorable. Love the little local food places. Since the weather is so variable it was nice to have an extra day in our schedule to wait for a clear day for hiking. We all filled it with horse back riding, climbing and birding so no one was bore.

Located under the towering peaks of Fitz Roy, this town is a special place from which to explore the Andes. There are walks to suit all levels of hikers and the landscape is just breathtaking! The people of el Chalten are especially kind and friendly also.
The staff were super friendly. The owner was charming and so kind. He was so helpful with all the tips and suggestions to make our stay and treks in El chalten exceptional. The packed lunch and dinner in the restaurant was amazing, The best I have had in el chalten. The estancia is such a charming place to stay, family run business. The rooms were clean, great size. The views from the estancia of the surrounding vast field is magical. I would definitely recommend to stay here.
The studio apartment was spacious with astonishing views. Everything necessary for self catering was provided. There is a full time desk who is very helpful with maps and directions. It is clean and beautiful and central for bus station and hiking trails and restaurants and shops. On its own merits it is excellent value- by El Chaltén standards and in comparison with other lodging choices it is in a class of its own.
Had a massage, which was excellent. However, the room was pretty cold... could have benefited from a space heater or warm blankets.
Hotel location was great, very close to the trails leading up to Laguna Capri, etc. We could also walk to restaurants and stores.
Room was spacious and clean. Acceptable closet space. Bathroom had shower; our kids got a room with a tub shower so facilities change room by room.
Great breakfast that included a good portion of eggs. Staff were friendly and offered advice about where to find the National Park office. They also respected the price in ARS without a hassle over which exchange rate to use- an issue we found with a couple of properties in Argentina.
Close to the Fitz Roy trailhead!
Exceptional staff, stunning location and great bar and restaurant. Really appreciated the nightly discussions with the very experienced guide about recommendations for the following days hikes. Great common areas to wind down, and plan. Los Cerros del Chalten was truly a gem.
Great location. The hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance to Laguna de Los Tres trailhead and the main street with plenty of options for food. Rooms were small but comfy. We like the spacious common area where you meet with a large group of friends.
Everything was super clean and comfortable and the breakfast was really lovely. Diana went out of her way to make us feel welcome and had great recommendations for our stay at El Chaltén. We were sad to leave and would definitely book again!
My recent stay in El Chaltén was pleasant overall. The rooms were clean and spacious, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration. The breakfast offered a nice selection, contributing to a positive start each morning.
Everything - great boutique hotel in the centre of El Chalten. Rooms are modern and clean. Staff friendly and go out of their way to help you. They also have a great guide to help with planning hikes.
There's a large kitchen and common area to use. The personnel is very friendly. It's located in the center (but since El Chalten is pretty small, most of the hostels are ;-)).
We stayed 4 nights in this nice and calm B&B. Great location. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. If we're coming back to El Chaltén, we would definitely return.
