We had the most exceptional experience staying at Limpopo Bushveld Retreat. Madre and Hendrick were the most attentive and wonderful hosts, considering our every need. The luxury tents were comfortable, beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. The game drive was a fascinating look into the world of farming wildlife. We couldn't recommend it more strongly.

The stargazing night safari was out of this world! It was a privilege to have all our physics questions answered by specialist Dr Phil. We will be back for more learning from him. There were ample activities available to choose from. Pricing were just a bit steep to do more.

Absolutely loved our long weekend stay at this gorgeous bush location. Our unit was really gorgeous with everything you need for a cozy, relaxing stay. Totally peaceful and quiet - beautiful hikes or biking trails through the game reserve, where you can see many different types of antelope and wildlife (not the Big 5). The have e-bikes for hire which was an amazing new experience for us. Liz took us out and we really had fun. She also offers massages and we had a wonderful back and neck massage on our first day, which really relaxed us and got us into the holiday mood. Our unit had an outdoor wood fired hot tub which is so wonderful to destress in and you can watch the stars at night in there for hours! We cant wait to go back again. Highly reccommended

Vaalwater is a small town but it is surrounded by some fabulous scenery and a number of excellent wildlife farms. Most of the farms are as you would expect remote so a 4x4 would be useful - check access.

Vaalwater is a very quiet town with many game farms. We loved Kigeni Game Farm and also visited Jugomaro- they have tigers, lions, wolves and lynx. We got to feed the lions and wolves and pet the lynx which was very enjoyable and informative.

i loved that they had wild animals within the lodge but you...
i loved that they had wild animals within the lodge but you can tell they used to seeing people and they friendly and none harmful. i loved the fact that the pictures on the site compared to real live is more beautiful. the calmness of the place, i can imagine when its summer how green the place looks. the kitchen area made the whole place feel like home and i must say next time i visit i hope the pool will be full of water becuase it looks beautiful. the staff was amazing and thank you for the love and helping out in eveything. Nico, Francina, Elsie, Martha and Ouma the old lady, i could ask them anything and they would offer to help. Was just disapointed with Adriaan, felt like he only cared when we arrived after that it was him and T.V, delagating and mis-manage the staff who continued helping out with a smile though he shouts at them like they they are puppets. the dogs Cahrlie and Juke made me not to be scared of dogs anymore..they are such sweeties...:-) my weekend was awesome. thanks...:-)
