Such a wonderful location. We loved the remoteness and feeling like being in nature. It felt incredibly safe and the stars were a particular highlight.

It was a stunning view. The "Stoep" in the home we stayed in was very spacious and perfect that site warm or cold days. Everything just gets better with the Hot Tube.

After indulging in a leisurely afternoon swim in the inviting pool, we embarked on our first game drive. The thrill of encountering some of the big five animals in their natural habitat was simply exhilarating, and our experienced guides made the safari an unforgettable journey into the wilderness. Returning to the lodge in the evening, we were treated to a dinner by the pool under the stars—a truly magical experience that we'll treasure forever. The evening sky, adorned with countless stars, provided the perfect backdrop for an enchanting evening of stargazing. Our room was a haven of comfort, providing us with everything we needed for a restful night's sleep after an exhilarating day of adventure. The following morning, our second game drive before breakfast allowed us to soak in even more of the breathtaking scenery and wildlife that Aquila has to offer. We spent the remainder of the morning basking in the sun by the pool, reluctantly preparing to check out but already planning our return. In summary, our experience at Aquila Safari Lodge surpassed all expectations. The accommodation was incredibly well setup. It caters for all seasons, with an aircon for summer, and an indoor fireplace and hottub for the winters. The view is stunning, and the tented setup was beautifully made up. We had a great time.
