I cannot say enough good things about Ndlovu Lodge and it's exceptionally courteous and professional staff. The property itself is amazing, as it's located on a mountain that overlooks a broad valley, so the views of the sunrise and sunsets are amazing. The property is adjacent to a game farm that includes a view of the field where you can see different types of antelope from the balcony. The lodge itself is surrounded by bushveld vegetation, so there are many birds calling and singing in the morning, which is wonderful to wake up to.
As for my room, Gervan kindly upgraded my room upon arrival to one of the larger rooms on the third floor that had a large balcony. As I was the only guest for the 4 nights I stayed, I was very well taken care of. My room was clean (and made up each day), the bed was super comfortable, the shower was large with excellent water pressure, and the wifi service was excellent as well except during times of loadshedding, which usually happened during the middle of the night. It was great to have AC during some of the warm days and nights, which made for great relaxation.
The food at the restaurant was consistently outstanding. The breakfast was large and delicious and included 2 eggs, bacon, kudu sausage, sauteed mushrooms, grilled tomato, and toast. The dinners at Ndlovu Lodge are amazing. I highly recommend their 500g T-bone steak, which I had had 2 times during my stay and was cooked to perfection. Their house-made hamburger is one of the best burgers I've ever tasted! They also have a excellent drink selection. I took almost all my meals sitting on the veranda, enjoying my meals with a great view of the valley.
In summary, Ndlovu Lodge is a true gem of a place to stay. Gervan and the kitchen staff are endlessly helpful and kind, and they truly made my stay a memorable one. I will definitely make a booking here again for future trips to Pretoria.

We attended a family wedding ceremony at Simbali Lodge (also in Tierpoort) during our 2 day stay at Route 25 Farmstead in Tierpoort. We live in Pietermaritzburg, Kwa-Zulu Natal and travelled especially to Tierpoort for the wedding on the Saturday. We chose a self catering property to stay in, as we are a family of 5 with children included, which make it more convenient and economical.
