Stayed in the larger Birdhouse cottage with open plan lounge and kitchen area, single bed and a double bed, and a shower. It's set back from the other cottages and rooms, feeling more private. Can't fault the place - the owner went out of her way to make my stay enjoyable. Clean pool, lovely grounds, the chickens, horses, friendly cats and dogs. The staff are attentive and friendly. The breakfast made to order was delicious. Security of the property is in place, and i slept soundly in a super comfy bed. Highly recommend visiting the Mushroom Farm for breakfast, and Phezulu just 8mins up the road too. Hillcrest centre is on your doorstop just 2 (long) roads away, for necessities, restaurants, shops etc.

What an absolute gem we found.
A beautiful studio completely fitted out with everything you could possibly need, in the most beautiful environment. We were taken care of every morning by the attentive and yet observant crew of ladies which meant we had a very special stay at the Studios. We will definitely be back!

I love everything about Baa Baa.Abigail is an amazing host.The property is heavily and so relaxing.We enjoyed spending time on the pool and I enjoyed relaxing reading on the deck.The view is so beautiful.Definitely will book again.❤️

I use it for my business trips as it is near Pinetown. It is an absolute oasis. Thete is nothing to say except it was perfect. The room. The grounds. The restaurant. And the staff.- nothing was too much trouble. I will never stay anywhere else when I come to Durban. Simply TOP DRAWER.

Hillcrest is nestled among the Valley of 1000 Hills, and it is breathtakingly beautiful. We enjoy staying there when we visit Shongweni Farmer's Market and it is a superb base. Apart from Shongweni, Hillcrest has plenty of great restaurants and shopping centres. The bonus is the many little hidden treasures of garden, antiques, and other little shops. It is really a lovely area with plenty to offer.

Hillcrest is a beautiful place but the actual place we booked. What I thought we had and what we actually received was very different. I was not a apartment to rent but a room. Adequate space for me to have meetings while my wife could relax in the garden or upstairs. Ideally situated for the work I was doing in Hammarsdale and Hillcrest. For those who do not want to self-cater, there are numerous restaurants in the area - one just over the main road. Roy was an ideal host and he is a skilled workman, having built the cottage himself - woodwork and all.
