Coffee bay offers a beautiful and tranquil break away from the city hustle and bustle. Stayed at Coram DEO, hostess and excellent menu was worth every penny Feeling of safety makes it all the more worth the 10hour trip The beaches offered great swims, especially the bay in front of the camping site

The last 30 Kilometres are hell. Roads around coffee bay are good.. The hole in in the wall was great. Locals are a pain trying to solicit money from you all the time at parking areas. Also tried to break in our vechile.

Sight seeing...the Hole in the Wall and the Baby Hole in the Wall! The roads to the place need speedy attention! They are just bad to be used by people who are supposed to be bringing economic opportunities to the connunities there. The Eastern Cape government must act differently and disappoint us by constructing that road.

The drive was okay regardless of the fish ponds on the road (potholes) that slacked us down. The sunset was beautiful with the mountain views and the weather was beautiful too. We had difficulties with our GPS but with the help of the local residents who were very friendly, we managed to get there safely. The hotel has it's own Restaurant and another Restaurant facing the beach for a more relaxed afternoon. We booked a one night stay and regretted it the following day as we wished we could have stayed longer, next time we need the entire weekend!! Very friendly staff, delicious seafood buffet we had on the the evening of arrival and enjoyed the breakfast too!

Beautiful place, beautiful views, sweet people all around.

Beautiful place, beautiful views, sweet people all around. Great and safe accommodation. Only concern would be driving in and out of coffee bay, 30kms before you reach Coffee bay the road is damaged, loads of potholes but if your prepared for a chilled ride (not a fast ride) then you will have no problem - enjoy the scenery on your way!

We were self catering. The town is full of litter. The last 40 kms to Coffee Bay are FULL of potholes. There are no shops for fresh produce have to travel 20 kms back over the potholes!!!! Take ALL your supplies you may need.

We spend 2 nights here and it was a fantastic experience. The bungalow is very spacious and has a great view on the ocean. The biggest selling point is the extraordinary friendliness and helpfulness of the owners. They will help you with everything you need and they have the cutest dogs and cats. We really enjoyed the delicious home made breakfast and the walk from the garden to the whole-in-the-wall along the coastline. The owners also replied very quickly and helped us choose the best way coming to coffee bay.

Rustic accommodation but very comfortable. Hosts are ever helpful, chilled atmosphere draws you into the Coffee Bay vibe. Potholes are bad on latter half of road from N2 but worth the effort even in a non-SUV provided you're willing to take it slow - suggest one allow 2hrs daylight driving time for this section to be on the cautious side

After a bumpy ride we were warmly welcomed by Lindie. We forgot to order dinner in advance, but she prepared for us a 3 course dinner, all tasting exquisitely well. She is a great host with good stories to tell and she will give advice about what to do in the area that will make you regret you didn't book more nights at Coffee Bay.

The friendlyness and the location of the hotel. Also the food was fantastic and some local tips were given. Everything went super easy going. In a lot of previous reviews there was spoken about the roads towards coffee bay. These have now been fully tarred and there is no hassle reaching coffee bay anymore.

Lovely modern flat with all the amenities need for your stay in Coffee Bay. The beach is across the road via a short walk giving you a lovely taste of the Wild Coast. I forgot my cable at the property and the host went out of her way to ensure it reached me. Much appreciated.

Oooh what a beautiful place to be at Coffee Bay. The host was warm and welcoming and made sure our stay was pleasant. She recommended the restaurant and the tour guide which was the best part of the adventure. Coram Deo is the best place to be, the views are breath taking

Hansie is a fantastic host and made me feel right at home in Coffee Bay. Property is close walking distance everything worth visiting and offered gated parking. My room had all necessary amenities (even light & gas during load shedding) and a fantastic ocean view.

We enjoyed the unspoiled sea view, as well as the Coffee Bay Drum band which came to the Guesthouse after dinner. It was a nice experience and just to be part of the cultural music. I also tried Crayfish for the first time which was very nice.
