The breakfast was OK but there was confusion with my Booking.com reservation that included prepaid breakfast - for some reason the restaurant refused to give me a full Starbucks coffee and would only give me a small number of items from the menu even though I had prepaid $20 per day for breakfast. They were happy to make one item (breakfast roll) that costs $11 but would not prepare a different item (french toast) that costs the same. And I had to go to front desk twice to make sure my credits were visible to the restaurant staff. It would be nice if this process were smoother.
The hotel is nice but average value for the high price.
The hotel is nice but average value for the high price. The only problem we had every time we stay there: the very shallow sink in the bathroom splashes and does not evacuate and the floor is probably mopped but not rinsed with clean water so it sticks to the shoes.
This house was beautiful. It has all the amenities you need, was bigger than I expected and very comfortable. The host was very responsive and I loved how easy the check in was. The house was clean and cozy. It was only 9 minutes away from Hartford and also not a long drive to amazing restaurants in West Hartford.
It was my first time in the area, I loved how convenient it was and I was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!
Bell hop and valet staff were excellent. The hotel was really clean and beautiful. With that said, one younger female at the front desk was exceptionally rude to my wife. She had the emotional intellgience of a hot headed teenager and actually slammed her hand down, was sarcastic, and rude when my wife asked to see the paper copy of the room charges. My wife had to ask several times to see the charges.
The mini bar was well stocked with a nice variety of items.
The solid walls made the room quiet.
The breakfast had a lot of variety.
The employees were attentive.
The dimming ceiling light fixture in the room was not glaring( no visible blinding lightbulb like some ) and didn’t flicker at all.
The adjustable Leviton nightlight in the bathroom was an excellent feature not seen in many hotels.
No breakfast offered. Unmanned reception area, calling over and over to get room key and drop off key. No staff ever at desk. Elevator not working properly. Room 505, fire alarm hanging off wall with broken red wire. No channel changer. Mold/mildew smell and hallway carpets very dirty. Bathroom nice and room mostly clean.
We were in West Hartford for a funeral. The location was right next door to the funeral home. And - obviously - the price was attractive. The only other hotel in town was $400 a night. The bathroom was clean, as were the sheets.
