It was very clean, cozy, and overall, just wonderful. Compared to other hotels nearby, this one is the most cost-effective, yet it meets standards of more experience hotels.

VC is a vintage silver mining town in the Sierra foothills, which has much of the original 19th century architecture still intact. Great vibe, good food and fun tours to check out. We're definitely going to come back some day.

by all accounts this happens a few times,a.little understanding from the property owner would have been grateful.

Quain and authentic historic gold & silver mining town. Covid has limited shops and restaurants as elsewhere but many shops and restaurants are open. Very friendly people. Many people had their canine friends.

We love that town, No negatives.
We love that town, No negatives. The hot buttered rums were extra special. Sorry, I can't remember the name but the lady was extra, extra nice. We had a private dinner at the Canvas Cafe and we felt like it was so special. There were 11 of us there to enjoy the Comstock Boys at the Opera House.

It's an amazing town. So historical.
It's an amazing town. So historical. Has many great places to see for the whole family. And don't forget to check out some of their wonderful events like the camel races, outhouse races, ferrari races, grand prix races, etc!!!
Very helpful and friendly staff, easy check in at the front desk, lovely clean room with personality. Walkable to the restaurants and sites in town, but uphill on the way back to the inn. Lovely spots to sit outside & enjoy the view. Had a grassy back yard with a 2-person covered swing and 2 chairs with a shared side table in the front yard. Convenient parking spots numbered to accommodate each room. All in all, very pleasant and a good value.
If I could give this 6*, I would. Beautifully restored Victorian house from 1875 in a charming Virginia City (after discovery of the Comstock silver lode). Andria our host is a historian, writer and has a huge depth of knowledge of VC and Nevada. We had wonderful chats over breakfast pastries and long into the evening. Absolutely loved our time here. Stayed in the Sam Davis (blue) room with stunning 100 mile view
The hotel is perfect for those looking for a charming and unique stay. It's nothing fancy but the hotel has a western/pioneer feel with a lot of history. There is a little market on site that is open 8am-8pm which is super convenient. The hotel is also walking distance to the main strip of stores, bars, restaurants. The owners live next door and treat you like family!
Quirky retro motel that is partially run down partially upgraded, much like most of Virginia City. Showers were very hot, wall heater did not work but space heater was fine. Comfy bed. No coffee. Late check in and early checkout hours. I would stay again for a quick one night but not for a vacay.
We absolutely loved staying here. We will for sure stay here again when we visit Virginia City. So happy to have discovered this place.
The owner has done a beautiful traditional restoration of the property.
Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was perfect.
We felt totally pampered.
We didn't realize while booking our room we would be in town for their HUGE St. Patrick's Day celebration. We were happy to have a great parking space during the festivities. Hotel is in a great location not too far from Main Street and shopping.
Virginia City was one of the very nice surprise of our trip in the West. Very typical, and a lot of friendly people, and outside of the usual tourist areas. The motel was very lovely, small rooms, but very cute and clean. Super friendly staff.
We’ve been staying at this hotel every time we visit Virginia City, the owners and the staff are very friendly and always make you feel like home, the hotel is clean and comfortable and you have everything walking distance 👌😃
Excellent location. Walk to town without being in the middle of it all. Room was very clean. Great views, mostly from the grassy area with seating behind the hotel but still from the small windows in the room too.
Very clean. Gentleman at front desk friendly and also gave information on places to eat. Virginia City closes down early so that was helpful. This inn was in perfect location for what I was doing.
Wonderful cozy property! Great location in a picturesque back in time western town. Enjoyed the back outside grassy area that overlooked a beautiful canyon like scene. Will definitely be returning!
The decor of the room was nice. It gave the feel of the era Virginia City is known for. The staff was also friendly and helpful. The bathroom was a good size and offered a jacuzzi tub.
Loved the layout of the house. Love how there’s a little fridge upstairs with water and Gatorade for the guests. Location is prime. Right above the main drag of Virginia City.
The Virginia City Inn was a beautiful clean, old world motel. Located on the outskirts of Virginia City, it's at the heart of the Old Silver and Gold mining area of Nevada.
Very quaint and super nostalgic! The hotel is nestled in the mountains and within walking distance of the historic downtown area. We didn't see any ghosts, thank goodness!
The room was perfect and the bed was comfy. It was a joy to spend time with Andrea and learn lots of Virginia City history. Will definitely be coming back!
