General Butler State Resort Park, hotel in Sparta

Set in Carrollton, General Butler State Resort Park offers accommodation with a flat-screen TV. Some units also have a kitchenette equipped with a dishwasher.

Breakfast was good. Found it odd that the restaurant in the lodge was closed. Part of breakfast is enjoyment of walking to breakfast at the resort and grabbing a cup of coffee without having to drive up the hill to the convention center.

Ohio river, town was only 6 miles drive we ate there, travel was easy , We would avoid Sparta Dead and dying town , motel needs a lot of work , Heat worked in room but fan blower did not blow heat out. We ask for blankets but they had none to offer.

Serving date expired food. Whirlpool in room broken. Curtain rod broke with light coming into room. Bad door to hotel unable to close causing safety issues for all guests for random people to just walk in 24/7.

The town or village, is very poor, nothing, no place to go around. No place to eat. The Casino is 15 minutes from the hotel, nice and place to eat good food, we ate there, but not for family with kids. No other activities to do, was okay for adult like us.. We stay there in the Hotel Ramada to go to the Arch Encounter and the Museum. was a beautiful experience to go there.
