    First...we were expecting a pool which was advertised. They said they needed a technician out(?) Said probably a couple days before fixed. I then checked previous bookings and they were also ill informed. The weeds out front were horrible over run and dumpy. Wall paper curling up the wall in the hallways,, dirty carpets. In room amenities were only soap but I thought it was a mint. Truly that small. I will never stay there again. Way over priced for such a dumpy hotel.

    The manager, wife and kids were friendly. It's the only place in town and in the area where I was having a multi-day family outing. My mediocre, middle of the road, expectations for the hotel were met.

    The pool and hot tub are nice and breakfast was good. We could walk to the restaurant and store. We were only 7 miles away from Shell Lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
