Friendly helpful service. This old-fashioned motel has been updated, was clean (except for some human hair on a pillowcase). Instant hot water was very nice. Room heating was very efficient. Bed was a little hard.

Very nice town on Historic Route 66.
Very nice town on Historic Route 66. Best known for the historic U-Drop Inn Cafe and Tower Conoco station of art design built in 1936. Was saved from the wrecking crane and restored to its original glory and now used as an office for the Shamrock Chamber of Commerce. Vintage neon lighting installed and turned on after dark. Also, vintage Conoco gas pumps front the station.

The room was well represented by the pictures.
The room was well represented by the pictures. The small town fell was great, also how all the buildings have beautiful paintings. We definitely took some great pictures of the town. Love the Allsups, they have excellent burritos and chimis.

The mini sized hand soap is smart.
The mini sized hand soap is smart. There was no body wash in the tub dispenser, the coffee pot in the room did not work, and there was a snake trying to get on the elevator at the same time as I was. The Evening clerk was less than friendly. She quoted a rate that did not sync with the booking rate. I asked several times for an invoice to verify the rate and was told they could not provide one because it had to come from Booking.com. No one would verify the rate.

This little town has some hidden treasures!
This little town has some hidden treasures! Route 66 runs right through town. There are some amazing food options, outdoor music, and you can't forget the huge St. Patrick celebration every year! There are great opportunities for pictures
My husband and I were on the road for 5 weeks driving through Canada, then down the west coast to San Diego and up on Route 66, we stayed in motels every night of the trip, The Shamrock Inn is VERY HIGH on our list of BEST motels we stayed at. We even had a the pleasure of meeting a man named Tye there, he sang us a few songs, told fascinating life stories and is the local "town artist".. The majority of the murals in this town were done by him.. I loved everything about this town..💝
I travel to Shamrock frequently to work. I love how the check in/check out process is quick and easy with always friendly managing personnel. And then walking into a room that not only looks clean, but smells clean. The location is great because I do not hear the I-40 traffic. I've stayed at other places in Shamrock, but whenever (and it usually always is) a room here is available, I prefer Motel 6!
It was quiet and affordable. The staff was very friendly. The thought of the history of travelers that have stayed here is truly an amazing thought. I met a family that is traveling the whole route 66 from Illinois to California and how excited they were as they had not been in Texas before. It's easy to forget the simple things in life and this made me remember.
This was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate my family. If you’re ever in the area you should stay here. Breakfast during covid is trying, not here you get a Jimmy Dean Sandwich and much more. Thanks again for the fabulous stay we will be back.
Nostalgic motel right on an existing piece of Route 66. Just a couple of blocks from the iconic Tower Conoco and U-Drop Inn in Shamrock. Basic (somewhat "bare bones" compared to today's highrise chain hotels)1950s motel, but a great friendly place to stay overnight on Route 66 and get a feel for how travel was done pre-interstate.
Room was clean and comfortable - beyond my expectations for this price!! I've stayed at more expensive hotels and motels not this clean. Good wi-fi connection - have had hotels with either non-working connections or type of connections incompatible with my laptop. Very good value for the price. I will stay here again!!!
Breakfast had protein options as well as Texas-shaped waffles, so pretty much everything you need. The bed was comfortable and the room was pretty well decorated and maintained. The fitness center had two working treadmills and a Bowflex, and I had it all to myself, so that was nice.
This is an older hotel that is being renovated (2021). Clean, safe, right next to I40. Breakfast made for you while you wait. Pet friendly rooms. Extremely courteous, and hospitable. We were on the move but we'll be back.
Cool ORIGINAL hotel. Many of the original 1950's fixtures are still there and work suck as the bathroom heater with the timer switch. My house is from the early 1950's so I am familiar with those items.
Location, friendly staff, good restaurants in walking distance, good hot water pressure , very clean,EXCELLENT restaurant next door called Rusty’s,very friendly little town
I was very pleased with The Blarney Inn. I stay in hotels/motels in this price range often and this is one of the best at this price. I will be staying here again.
For the money this is probably the best hotel I've stayed in. Very clean and well put together room. Amazing hospitality and a great breakfast with real eggs.
The breakfast was good however, it lacked the variety of breakfasts in other hotel chains. The staff was accommodating to our needs. The room was clean.
