I did not receive my security deposit back, I was scammed. I will never use booking.com again and I do not recommend staying here because they will claim you never paid a security deposit just so they do not have to refund it to you.
Not much doing in Oneonta. We were there to visit our granddaughter during Parent Weekend. We found that a lot of the smaller more interesting shops were closed or closed early. Didn't have many eating options outside of the McDonald's level places, either. Once we did find a good restaurant (Sloan's) we decided to just eat there during our stay. Cooperstown is nearby and the scenery is lovely during the fall. Nature lovers can probably fill their day with no problem, but if you're looking to walk around in a cute little town/village, this is not the place. So many lovely, old homes but too many in disrepair. They could do so much with this town to make it a trendy place I don't know why it hasn't been done already! I will say that local people that we met were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel rooms need to be updated and bathrooms off the lobby need to be cleaner. We were planning on eating & relaxing at the hotel since they listed a restaurant and bar on property, but when we arrived, we were informed they were closed.

Sadly this town is suffering from lack of infrastructure and jobs I am guessing - very depressing. Lots of places to drink (maybe that is where the nickname Stoneonta comes from) but not much to do - homeless people, boarded up businesses, and lots of empty places.

Town seems to be a regional hub of all the restaurants, home improvement stores, hotels, shopping, and other amenities you ever need to live comfortably. I never seem to have time while I'm there to investigate how many nearby attractions there are but it doesn't seem like many. Most surrounding towns are very quiet and rural. I88 leading up to Oneonta from the east is very desolate and currently in lousy condition due to multiple large paving projects that haven't made much progress in the last three years.

Beautiful country side.
Beautiful country side. Winding back roads at 55mph, nice drive. We are going into town after breakfast to check it out. Nearby Delhi is a nice little college town. About 30-40 min away by Rt 28. Had lunch at the Blue Bee Cafe, nice big sandwich and potato salad made with horse radish. Breakfast is included at the Quality Inn, usual nice with hot item. There is a nice little bar on premise.

As a traveler, town offered great options to dine.
As a traveler, town offered great options to dine. Attended Hall of Fame and Animal Adventure. This location served at a good half way point. Allowed us the stay in the same hotel for two nights instead of two hotels for two nights.
The property is quite large and located in a beautiful surroundings of Oneonta. Everything is nearby with easy access to highways. One can enjoy the scenic hilly surroundings of the nearby hills. The room was nice and breakfast was sufficient. We could park our car near to the room which was comfortable.
They allowed pets for a minimal fee which was why we picked this hotel. I do wish the rooms were slightly larger to accommodate a dog crate but we made it work. I liked the convenience of the property in proximity to the baseball fields and stores.
Felt unsafe. I was shocked no elevator. The shower had hair in it. Totally sketchy hotel atmosphere. People using the room as a hang out people in and out. Doors not secured. I would never stay there again.
I was so Happy with the location being able to walk right out onto the downtown street from the hotel, this was a very quality hotel for such a reasonable price Nice touch with the gas fireplace in my room
About your hotel nothing. The manager is nasty as can be. I have pictures of proof of BUGS in the room it was dirty. I will never go back. We are talking to a lawyer because of the bug issue there.
This is a basic inexpensive roadside motor hotel. It’s old, but clean and maintained. The room was clean. The linens were fine. It was just what we were looking for. Good value.
The room faced the city of oneonta which was nice. The location is super easy to get to. The rooms and bedding were nice and clean with room cleaning taking minimal time.
“Mickey Mouse” operation. No USB ports in room, childs desk chair, IKEA-like desk. CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP. Simple, inexpensive stuff to make a business traveler welcome.
The overall experience was beautiful for myself and my fiance. She traveled from Fuquay, North Carolina to Oneonta, New York to spend a very wonderful time with me.
