The inn itself is quaint and beautiful. The location is perfect: a block from the ocean and walking distance from the ferry, shops, and restaurants. The continental breakfast offered a wide variety of yummy food, the wine and cheese gathering on the porch was fun and entertaining, and the staff is a friendly bunch who go the extra mile to care for their guests-people you’d like to call friends!

Relaxing and serene. Loved the light breakfast spread and the anytime self service.
Oak Bluffs is such an amazing and cute town. Lots of places to shop and eat. Cute historical buildings. Love the gingerbread houses! Best lobster roll you'll ever have at Martha's Vineyard Chowder Co!

There is so much rich history there.
There is so much rich history there. A definite place to visit. Don’t miss the early morning polar bear experience in the inkwell beach. Lots of nice shops and hidden art galleries. More than enough ice cream shops. Back door donuts was a nice late night treat but don’t let the long line deter you it moves rather quickly. Definitely need a car and take the time to visit all parts of the vineyard. Food was ok, not great. I was surprised that fish was not more plentiful on the menus. Must try Lobster roll, it’s everywhere.

There were many great restaurants and stores.
There were many great restaurants and stores. Beaches were ok. They were very rocky at the water line so we didn't want to go into the water. I would bring water shoes! The marina is very nice. Rent bicycles at Tony's All Star Bike Rentals! They were awesome there. We rode bikes to Edgartown and it was a really pretty ride. The ferry ride on the Island Queen was great and it put you right into the action. We walked a short distance to our hotel Summercamp.

We enjoying the shops, the good food and great ice cream. Enjoyed most of the people since they were very polite. First time there since 1969 and my children loved it so much that they want to come back along with the children.

We went off-season so had limited options but it was still great to walk around the area. It is the main area for stay and activities other than Edgartown. We went on the beach, pier, martha's vineyard chowder restaurant and Ritz bar. All seemed great to us, plus seafood was really good!!!

Loved how close we were to be able to walk everywhere.
Loved how close we were to be able to walk everywhere. The Ritz was fun to go to for music. All the restaurants we went to were fantastic! There’s more to do in Edgartown so I would probably choose to stay there instead of Oak Bluffs. But in all fairness it rained most of the time we were there so we didn’t get to do everything that I had planned.
My 17 years old daughter and I had a terrific stay at this hotel: it is sweet and beautiful with a big porch with rocking chairs, and conveniently located close the ocean. The staff is wonderful and makes everyone feeling welcome. They provide the guests with a lot of extras like fresh cookies and hot cider, beach towels and beach chairs and a great and healthy breakfast. All this made our stay very, very special. We hope to come back and definetely recommend it to people who hope to find peace and happiness during their vacation.
A beautiful property located just off one of the main streets in Oak Bluffs. Easy walking distance from the ferry and to restaurants, shops and the wonderfully named "Reliable Market" supermarket.
We had the honeymoon room which has its own small balcony over the entrance porch - a beautiful room!
The decor of the whole property is clean, fresh and appealing.
Wonderful and very friendly staff. They even let us borrow some folding chairs to take to the beach.
I cannot say enough great things about this hotel! Beautiful hotel with extremely friendly staff. They provide coffee, tea, and water all day along with delicious cookies. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast which we ate outside with a gorgeous view. Room was very clean and comfortable. They allow storage of luggage while out and about. Great location too! I would highly recommend this hotel!
Hotel was easily accessible and centrally located. 'Nicely furnished bedroom with comfortable beds; especially liked availability of dining table and chairs. Also liked the kitchenette - well stocked with dishes, utensils and good-sized appliances. Outdoor areas and landscaping were very nice. Liked easy access to restaurant and entertainment.
charming place the stay in the town of oak bluffs. walkable to everything and right across from the beach. the was small but we spent time on the island in other places and the porch and living room are comfortable. The owner Henry and the staff were friendly and helpful . The capricorn house is old school quirky MV and glad we found it!
The rooms were clean, beautifully updated and very comfortable. We spent all of our down time on the cozy & inviting porch. The view of the ocean was delightful! The staff was very helpful and personable. The location was walking distance to everything you could need or any activity you wanted to do. We adored this lovely hotel!
Impeccably clean; welcoming atmosphere. Decorations beachy and nice. Neat, clean; cute lil kitchen. Nice bathroom/inside shower. The accommodations were very good. We loved deck as well. Only 1.4 miles from center of Oak Bluffs, 1.5 from Vineyard Haven.Nearby bike path/walk to VH absolutely beautiful
This is a sweet, old fashioned hotel with welcoming staff and cosy rooms. It is in a great location just a few minutes walk to either the beach or the Main Street where the shops and restaurants are. I had a perfect four nights there and would definitely go back!
Very nice small hotel with a very good location, comfortable and clean rooms, and complimentary beverages.
If you can, try getting one room with a view to the small harbor next to the hotel. Many cafes and restaurants nearby.
Great location. You are able to walk to and from the ferry and downtown shop area. No car needed even to get to the the towns besides Oak Bluffs. Highly recommend this place for location and price.
great location in the center of Oak Bluffs. Rooms were clean, comfortable with what appeared to be all new furnishings. the hotel appears to be newly renovated and is tastefully done.
It is a charming place to stay. As they have spacious spaces, you can enjoy your staying in the hotel too, not only in your room. We had a quite room with garden view.
Breakfast was simple but good. The location was perfect! Directly across from Inkwell Beach and within walking distance to all of the Oak Bluffs shopping restaurants!
The location was excellent for waking to all areas in Oak Bluffs. I loved the quaint and limited number of bedrooms. I also loved the fresh smell of all of the linen!
