The room was nice and the bed was nice and big. But I did end up getting bed bug bites from the bed and nothing has been done to resolve it. I noticed the bugs when I got back and they infested my whole apartment and I had to throw a bunch of stuff away.

We rented two rooms--one for our two daughters and our two young grandchildren. The King suite in which we stayed was spacious with a separate kitchen. Be sure to look up and admire the beautiful craftwork on the ceiling. The other suite had a large bed as well as a very comfortable trundle bed that also served as a couch. It was much more comfortable than the typical sofa bed and meant the room accommodate four persons comfortably. The rooms were both lovely--nicely painted with beautiful trim and very high ceilings. The location isn't pretty but it is conveniently located near the main street and is just two blocks from the ice cream parlor and one block from a grocery store.

The front desk clerk was very congeal. But the hall ways were very dark only every other light was on. Hard to get your key in the slot. I'm thinking they did that so you wouldn't see how dirty the place was.

When I booked the room, it said I would have a balcony and it did not. If there was one, I didnt see it. It also said there was no air conditioning. I called the hotel and they said it did have air and it did upon arrival.

Archie's is the MAIN reason we come to town - ha!
Archie's is the MAIN reason we come to town - ha! Greatest steak house in the nation, and owned by a terrific family (and our friends). Of course, Wells Blue Bunny ice cream is a hot spot! Love the train, all the big old trees, beautiful older homes plus some new areas, ease of getting around, good grocery stores. Great place to live or visit!

I've also never seen ceilings so tall in a room. Everything was comfortable - Shower and bath, the AC kept up with it being super hot outside, and furniture. It had everything we needed plus some. It is more of a rental instead of hotel room with a fully stocked kitchen. The host was friendly and quick to respond when I had a question before check-in. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but they were there and working fine. Breakfast was hot, fresh and plentiful. They even had an overflow space with extra silverware and Napkins to keep you from having to go back into the line if you forgot something! Our room was cleaned each day and restocked. Room was reasonably clean, but had a smoky odor. Bed was comfortable. I did not have breakfast there so cannot attach a rating for it. Check-in staff was very friendly and efficient.
