The host Sandro was very accommodating.

The host Sandro was very accommodating. We were treated like we were at home. This will definitely be our hideaway spot from now on. It was quiet and peaceful. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. We already have booked return visits. Suggested to our host that something like a Continental breakfast and some evening cookies on the coffee bar would be nice for early travelers or late arrivals. Especially because there's no restaurants close by.

We really enjoyed our stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is a very old historical building in town. It has lots of character and quirks of a home built so long ago . We loved that part of it. It's lovely inside, very comfortable and clean. Good hot water and pressure in the shower. A very comfortable bed. Quiet at night. The host was warm and friendly . He was there to help out with anything needed. We recommend staying here .

My husband and i liked most the concern shown to us about the ice machines wasn't working. An employee from the laundry department walked to a convenient store for the visiting guest for ice. That stood out to us most, not even receiving a tip after being offered. Other than that service, was professional.

Very, as they say, "quaint area".

Very, as they say, "quaint area". Old architectural houses to look at. A great little coffee shop, Muddy Waters Coffeehouse on West Main St. You can walk to a lot of places there. The Culpepper Inn is a great bed and breakfast.

    EC is a delightful city!!

EC is a delightful city!! The downtown area is perfect for walking, especially along the water. Numerous shops and restaurants are now open. We especially liked the "P" on the causeway for dinner, and the Colonial restaurant for breakfast.

The host was very kind and hospitable. There were plenty of toiletries in a basket on the bathroom sink in case travelers forget stuff like tooth paste. The host even spent time with us on the screened in porch on several nights talking. One night he even cooked pizza for us in the pizza oven…. Delicious. The view of the river and sunset was fantastic. After our visit, we felt like we were leaving a family member. There is a pool and screened in porch. The outer banks is only 1hr and 15mins away. Elizabeth city is about 20 minutes away.

Traveling from Maryland for a family reunion and The rooms were HORRIBLE. Stains on the sheets. The first room smelled like mildew as soon as you walk into the room. Staff said there were no more room available. Wifi DIDNT WORK. If you ask me we stayed in a TRAP hotel. Men just sit outside their rooms all day and night watching people come in and out their rooms. Definitely doesn't seem like a safe place to stay with kids.

The room was clean, the staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel has amazing breakfast and even a pool outside that we could use. The room got cleaned every single day and we got fresh towels and new shampoo. Free parking and close to a lot of shops, restaurants and gas stations. 10/10 I would do it again.

It was a simple room - nothing fancy. But it was clean and comfortable and had everything you’d expect in a hotel room. No usb chargers, so plan to charge with an outlet. Location is good. You can easily access your room from the parking lot. The lady in the office is really nice! I’d stay again.

The room was lovely. There was a living room and a bedroom. The home is one of the oldest in Elizabeth City. The host was delightful, bed comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Blue Ruby is everything you want in a Bed and Breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here.

Breakfast was fine in taste, but lacked in quantity. Some construction workers got there 5 minutes before me and cleaned out the eggs. Bed was clean. Conveniently located near funeral home I had to go to, but there were other hotels just as close.

I was at the hotel got 2 nights. On the second night I awoke to a live bed bug crawling on my arm I captured it in a water bottle and presented it to the young lady at the desk who didn't seem alarmed at all.
