Didn't get to experience much except casinos due to the time of year we visited. A lot of places were closed. The town in a typical tourist town, can't really see much of the history the place holds.

My husband and I love Deadwood and have made more than 20 trips in the last 10 years. Lots to do in the area including visits to different museums, hiking, ghost tours, shopping, wine tasting, great food, and gambling. There is still a lot that we have not seen and done, which keeps us making the 10 hour drive 2 times a year.

We went after a snowfall and streets weren't cleaned.

We went after a snowfall and streets weren't cleaned. Some businesses and shops were closed and the sidewalks never got shoveled and were very slippery. Everyone that we met was friendly and fun. There was a lot to do and see, next time we'll stay longer. We'll be back as soon as we can, but in the fall rather than winter.

Lots of fun things to do and see.

Lots of fun things to do and see. Reenactments going on everyday on the main strip. The local saloons were great and filled with great atmosphere! We did not have enough time to do any tours as we were only there one night but we would come back to explore. We happened to walk into an outdoor concert that was awesome! It was very easy to get around on the local bus that travels by the hotels. We went to get some coffee in the morning at the Pumphouse which was filled with beautiful locally made glass art. It is worth a quick stop!

    Staff were nice especially Broadmoor.

Staff were nice especially Broadmoor. Hotel was not very clean. You had to go into the CASINO for breakfast - not appropriate for children. Everyone in the casino could see you in the swimming pool - creepy experience. Signs up everywhere in case you stole something! Nothing worth stealing. Lobby so small. Hotel was a good walk outside of Deadwood.

Had breakfast at the hotel inside the Franklin. Excellent food. Gambled at Mr. Wu's where they have free hotdogs, drinks and popcorn for players. We were there on a Tuesday night so the town was very quiet. Prefer to go when there are more people having fun.

All of the staff was super friendly and helpful throughout the whole facility. The view from the hotel is beautiful, even just from the parking lot. They also have a trolley that takes you down to deadwood, so you don't have to drive you're own vehicle for $1 for every time you get on. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and quiet location that was within walking distance to all the downtown action. Sherry and Troy were awesome and helped us out with lots of things to do. Restaurant on site excellent. Loved the plate sized cinnamon role for under $5.00. Good food and value. Short walk to trolley stop that takes you into town and drops you back off was nice to have after visiting the saloons. Older hotel so facilities a little worn which is to be expected.

Location of the hotel is great. Right in the center of downtown. The nostalgia of the hotel was great. We enjoyed the fact that there were not a ton of hotel rooms. We also liked that the hotel offered free parking for guests. Rooms were clean and open. Bathroom was huge!

The location was fantastically located in downtown Deadwood. Literally, you could not ask for a better location, and they had parking for your vehicle. The breakfast was ok, but it was basic. They did, however, have pancakes and coffee, which is a staple in my books.
