The hotel is like a tucked away oasis, which lots of greenery right on the beach. We had the sea view lodge - you are literally on the beach, just meters away from the sea, you can look at it also from your bed. Since there are only few rooms, the place is very peaceful and quiet. We visited in the start of June and only few rooms were occupied, we had the pool and sunbeds almost all to ourselves. You have chairs on your little porch, as well as sunbeds, all behind a wood fence, with a security person at all times. The staff is super kind and helpful. For breakfast, they served a big variety of fruits, other things were fewer, but you could still get full. Prices in the restaurant a bit higher, compared to the restaurants around. The beach is good for swimming, no sharp objects. Walking on the beach is also safe, interesting to see the low tide. Not so many beach boys, Nungwi was worse.

if you’re looking for a laidback vibe, amazing people and comfortable place in Zanzibar. This is it! it has direct beach access, a nice pool and probably some of the best food / breakfast. They have an amazing massage service too which I would highly recommend. The people that work there are absolutely amazing too! we loved our time there and can’t wait to go back one day.
