Best hotel I've been to. I love the seaside view from our room. Wokeup early to watch the sunrise. The room is perfect. The breakfast is very good. Will definitely go back.

Exceptional place to stay, extremely clean and great location to the beaches and restaurants. The staff member was incredibly nice and helpful and went out of their way to answer any questions I had and help me out. Quiet neighbourhood very close to everything. I booked more nights once I stayed there for a night because I loved it so much. Thank you!

I loved the quiet, small town feel. Everything was convenient & there were many restaurants to choose from. Waiao beach is also very near, which is awesome to surf at. Definitely want to come back whenever we have the chance!

Nice but not many convenience stores around.
Nice but not many convenience stores around. Most places only accept cash so bring cash with you when you arrive as there are no atm machines in the beach surroundings. You should be ok if you are driving though.

Drifters is a hit or miss.
Drifters is a hit or miss. Slobbers in Yilan is always a hit! There are no atms easily accessible and there is no 711 in the immediate area as well. I suggest bringing as many snacks and water as possible.

If you like the beach and some quiet time this is the place to go. Friendly people and most of them speak English really well. The only thing that I would put nearby is may a 7-11 or something like that just to get something because the nearest shop is about 5km away!!

A cute surf town with a lot of local charm.
A cute surf town with a lot of local charm. Getting around by bicycle is the best option. Surfing is definitely the main attraction - but the area features a nice fish market and museum, parks, cycling trails. We enjoyed in town a cute historic street area, good vegetarian food, a great bakery (bread and butter), pizzeria (Bergamo), and traditional ice cream. Features convenient transport links further afield to Jiaoxi and Yilan.
