Mamadou, the host, is very helpful and kind; we didn't have enough money so he came with us to M'bour to help us finding a bank. The place is simple but clean and in a good position to go to the Fadiouth village. Very reccommanded!

WouroBa, hotel in Joal-Fadiout

Featuring a bar, barbecue facilities and views of pool, WouroBa is located in Mbodiène, 33 km from Golf De Saly. This bed and breakfast features a private pool, a garden and free private parking.

WouroBa is an absolutely fantastic property. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The facilities were great – a pool and a gorgeous lounge area. Our hosts, Veronique and Latif, could not have been more hospitable, really going out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. Veronique is an exceptional cook and serves phenomenal breakfasts too! Finally, the area was great for us. Near enough to Fadiouth to visit as a daytrip, and only a short walk to Mbodiene’s lagoon. If you’re interested in birds you will see some incredible species in the garden at WouroBa as well as in the surrounding area.

No really… it could be better organised.no tv in rooms ,only 1 tv in the bar. The Italian owner is very loud when having a conversation on telephone with his family in the middle of the bar day and night. Staff are lovely but he doesn’t give them confidence

Wi-fi did not work in the rooms but did work in the courtyard albeit a bit slow. There are restaurants - you can eat at the hotel, one is nearby towards the main road and some local no frills places on the main road. It is easy to find a taxi on the main road. It is a not too far walk to go to Fadiouth Island

If you look foreign, they will try to charge you 5000cfa just to walk across the bridge to fadiout island. If you look Senegalese, you can walk across for free. We didn't bother to cross as the the price was too high and the men were pushy. Found a nice restaurant with a great view on the mainland side of the bridge. Taverna des pêcheurs

Joal-Fadiout was an amazing place to visit.

Joal-Fadiout was an amazing place to visit. Take some time to explore and be nice with the locals, greet them, learn some wolof, ask before taking foto's. The only thing we were shocked about is the guys from the tourist office tried to make us pay entrance when we wanted to enter the bridge. We knew we weren't supposed to pay entrance and in the end they let us go to the island without paying. They also want to offer you a guide.
