Lovely couple owns the hostel. They were super helpful and friendly.
They helped us:
- plan other stops we could visit on our way back to Ljubljana the next day
- find a nice restaurant for that evening
- and plan the best path to walk on the nearby river trail through Vintgar gorge.
The suggestions were great and we loved chatting with them :)
The area is also great and it was only a short walk to the Vintgar gorge in the morning.

We loved our stay! It is simple, clean and very comfortable as shown in photos. All facilities in good condition, the host will also welcome you with nice home treats. The location is in a quiet neighbourhood with the sound of river flowing nearby, as it is walking distance to the throat of Vintgar Gorge waterfalls. Just nice for a really calm and refreshing stay.
We would like to commend the host for being warm and welcoming, it made our stay more pleasurable. We will definitely come back to this apartment again!

The view from the room is truly amazing. Waking up to such amazing views is incredible. The hotel is super clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful and polite! We enjoyed it very much and highly recommend!

I was very pleased with how clean the hotel premises are and how helpful and kind the staff members at Hotel Savica were. I also want to thank Matjaz and Genadjuz for helping me get through to different areas within the hotel such as the swimming pool and spa, and also wanted to thank Matjaz for providing me key information about bus routes to Ljubljana and giving me all the help I need for excursions and holiday plans around Bled, considering that this was my very first time in Slovenia 🇸🇮 I'll definitely come back to Hotel Savica for the amazing people there and the tasty breakfast!
I thought this was a way better area to be in than right...
I thought this was a way better area to be in than right around Lake Bled. I was really happy with the hiking and scenery of the area, but I thought the lake and the immediate area around it were disappointing. This was a much better landing point.

It is a lovely spot, we unfortunately had rain the day we were there, and the following day, we stayed a little longer on the day we left, and our host Luka took us to the bus station in the morning. We were lucky enough to have sunshine, and went on a boat trip! Lovely!

Swimming in the lake was beautiful.
Swimming in the lake was beautiful. Go by the camping, which is the closest to walk from the house. We also walked from the house to the gorge and from the gorge to Bled and from bled back to the house. It was a nice day out finishing with a swim at the lake before heading back to the house!
