We had a great stay, and have zero complaints, from initial communication, to finding the place, check-in procedure, settling in. It's a beautiful place, exceptionally clean, so comfortable, staff attentive to a fault. I hope everyone would have that experience in DeGrassi, definitely recommended place.

it's a small city with good connection to other parts of Slovenian coast; the city center is very nice with plenty of cafes and restaurants, we enjoyed the cycle paths and cycle roads to Koper and Isola; we prefer to stay in Izola comparing to Portoroz and Koper and it's not so crowdy and everything is close also walking or using bicycle

Izola is a small jewelry box.
Izola is a small jewelry box. With narrow streets, the delicious aromas of Mediterranean cuisine can be felt during an evening walk. We can meet very nice people here among the hosts. We ate fantastic food at the restaurants along the coast. You can eat fresh seafood straight from the sea. We are returning guests here and it was certainly not the last time we visited the town.TundeHungary - 10Scored 10

Lovely cosy seaside town. We enjoyed our stay as there were not many tourists, it is not crowded not even near the sea (not like Portoroz). The beaches are with stones, but that is ok if you have water shoes. You can find all the amenities you need in Izola - shops, market, post office, restaurants, pharmacy, bakery.... It is possile to travel to nearby towns by bus or by boat - Portoroz, Piran, Koper. To Koper is also a nice was from Izola along the sea or it is also possible to rent a bike.

Small quiet town. Many good restaurants, cafes, pastry shops, bars. Excellently built cycling routes. The surrounding towns of Portorož, Piran, Piranske soline, Koper are accessible by bicycle. Friendly people. Nice beaches, clean sea. Many options for trips to the surrounding area (Trieste, Miramare Castle, Sistiana/Italy or Umag, Poreč, Rovinj, Pula/Croatia or Lipica, Postojna, Ljubljana, Tolmin, Bled/Slovenia)

Nice place.
Nice place. But look closely to the menu before entering a restaurant. Get a table in those where the locals with sweatpants and flip-flops are. Water is very clear and warm. Nice landscapes in the region. Leave Portoroz alone (unless you are a gambler).

Perfect for biking, hiking and swimming. We took our own bikes with us and enjoyed Parenzana trail to the max! Izola is maybe the best choice since it has lovely old city center, few beaches which are quite nice.

Hoffer is few minutes walking from the apartment. we brought our bicycles therefore we felt the city center and beaches are not so far away and we enjoy the stay without using our car (without bicycles it could be more challenging for people which do not like to walk the whole day to the beach and back)JanaSlovakia

The room was very large and the jacuzzi and sauna were a wonderfully luxurious break on my travels. Each staff member I interacted with was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The breakfast charcuterie spread was lovely and the addition of made to order egg dishes was quite satisfying. The location is just a 10 min walk from a swimming spot next to the marina and surrounded by restaurants. Will absolutely stay here again when I return to Slovenia

It comprises multiple buildings. We stayed in Šhalet which has been recently upgraded and is nicely decorated and modern. staff were also super helpful at check in and trough out the stay. it’s also a 10-15 minute walk down to a long pebble beach.MickSlovenia

The host Emil was wonderfully friendly and generous. We really enjoyed the lovely spacious garden area. Everything was spotless and comfortable, and the appartment had everything we needed. Slovenia is such a beautiful clean, safe and unspoilt country, and everyone we met was so friendly... we'll be back!

We were welcomed by the bottle of local white wine and chocolates. The kitchen is fully equipped, and all those "small" things are already there (olive oil, sugar, tea, coffee). The apartment is located in a small street just off the marina area. When arriving to the apartment, approach from the marina side, its much more easy to find the street that way. If you chose to approach from within the town and get lost (like I did...), just call the owners and they will come and 'save' you.
