The location, the building, its atmosphere and decor, the facilities, the friendly and very helpful staff; there was a lady called Caroline (I think) who had just started and I was the first person she checked, and she was so helpful with directions in Visby and recommendations for places to go

I must admit that, having made a booking for a stay at Villa Alma, I ended up being forced to cancel it at the last minute for unforeseen reasons. Under the reservation terms, I would still be required to bear a full charge - but the utterly courteous and understanding manner in which the property handled my request to waive that charge is by itself deserving of all praise. I will most certainly try to come and visit at a later date and will recommend the property to other people as well.

Snäck Annex is very conveniently located not far from the town center, with some sights nearby (f.i. the rauk, a natural phenomenon, called "The Chimp").
Parking is offered with the booking, which is very convenient. The Baltic is just opposite and to our surprise, you can even go swim closeby, this is included. The host/ staff is also very easy to deal with in terms of late arrival and early checkout.
We had booked only 1 night here as we were between stops, but would definitely return to enjoy the area for a longer duration.
The room is very good in size, the bathroom has everything you need.
The cozy chalet by the sea feeling is just very nice!

Visby is easy to be without a car, we walked everywhere.
Visby is easy to be without a car, we walked everywhere. Apart from the centre with all of the historical buildings we went for a walk to the cliffs which was incredible. Another place to walk is a promenade with beautiful views. We also visited a library which is exceptional and also have a cafe. We were in pizzeria Milli Lire in the centre with fantastic pizza and service. We highly recommend Italian restaurant Isolabella where we went for lunch buffet fro food and service. There are some nice shops with locally made products that we recommend.

We loved Visby!
We loved Visby! There were excellent restaurants with reasonably priced food. The town is so picturesque and feels authentic almost like we had stepped back in time. We loved wandering around and seeing the town and the ruins of the churches. We wanted to visit each of the gates and it was delightful to walk around the outside of the wall and get the since of its height. We were delighted with the botanical garden, it was small but lovely. The museums were very good and helpful. We especially enjoyed the part of the ancient artifacts, the Viking graves and picture stones which we then were able to see in situ as we explored the island. We were there mid Oct. some things were closed but on the other hand there were very few people and was uncrowded.

Oh, Visby is magical and I must return for a longer stay in the future. The cobblestone streets, the parks, the walk around the wall, the restaurants. The ruins, the museum were great. We absolutely loved it. Big enough to have plenty to do and see, small enough to do it at a relaxed pace.

Very calm, a lot of things to see, very unique cafés, a lot of parks, wall tower should be definitely in your list, interesting story! And also during the sunsets you should be at the beach it was a life performance from the birds everyday :) I will definitely visit Visby at some point during the summer time!

It is a quaint town, people are very friendly and helpful .
It is more of a place to go and rent a cottage and cook your self and explore all of Gotland on bike or hike.
Definitely not a romantic get away place.
The cabin is the loveliest place - really beautifully designed, with lots of fascinating little features. It was in a charming wood near the sea, and just a few minutes to a rocky and sandy beach which we could walk along for miles. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, and they made our stay really special. Gotland is a magical island - a lovely natural setting and a long and interesting history. The walled medieval town of Visby, a 10-minute drive or 40-minute cycle from the cabin, was endlessly fascinating.
We had a sea view cottage (21m2) and we absolutely loved the view. It was definitely a sea view. Each morning I was excited to wake up and see the sea. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. The kitchen had everything to prepare nice meals and it was warm and cozy inside (also important in the colder months). The location was perfect, just a few kilometers from Visby. The personnel was so helpful and welcoming. Definitely recommended and we probably will come back in the future.
+ neat cottage with cosy interior
+ possibility to rent a (very good) bike
+ handy little fridge, good shower, comfortable bed…
+ practical location: near the beach/sea and airport, and not too far from 'the main city' Visby
+ quiet, but I came before the high season so I suspect it would be much more busy otherwise!
Peaceful, spacious and cozy appartment in the upper floor. Horses nearby. Very nice garden, also for the children. A new swing for our baby! Toys, books, a small bath, two high chairs for the children. Easy to drive to Visby. 2,5 km to the sea. Few kilometers to the nearest beach where is also beautiful cliffs nearby.

The location on the beach was just wonderful, very relaxing, the cabin had everything we needed and the hosts provided lots of helpful information about the property ahead of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay here and on Gotland generally - Visby is just amazing!
The apartment is spacious and comfortable for 4 people. It is well designed and cozy. The back terrace is very pleasant in the morning and evening. The location is perfect, just 3 min from the main square in the old town in Visby.
Great location close to the center of Visby but still very quiet.
Possibility to park the car.
Beatiful and large room.
Well prepared for our dog.
A perfect breakfast.
And finally a very nice staff.
It’s a lovely cozy hotel with a great breakfast, clean rooms and comfortable. Love all the history and the St Clemens church rooms right next door. Close to all attractions too.
Breakfast was fine but nothing extraordinary or special. The location was good- close proximity to central Visby and easy to get around by car, bike, taxi or walking.
Great location close to the center of Visby and a short 500m walk from the ferry terminal. Close to everything without being in the middle of everything.
