The bright,clean, apartment above the main house is cozy with a separate bedroom, kitchen living area /second bedroom and small balcony that’s a perfect spot for two to watch the sun set. Neighborhood is safe and quiet and close to the hiking trail. Maybe a bit small for 4 adults but it can easily handle family of 4.

Loved the location and our spacious room! We had a lovely sea view and private bathroom. The rooms were incredibly clean and the beds were extremely comfy. We loved sleeping with the window open to hear the ocean at night. The sauna was exceptional and the morning breakfast spread had tons of options. Lastly, the staff was kind, helpful and accommodating.

Fjallbacka is a very nice town on the Swedish west coast.
Fjallbacka is a very nice town on the Swedish west coast. It is a quite popular destination in summer, while in winter time is pretty empty. I've been there in November and hardly found something open. It is very nice wandering along the harbour and enjoying the silent and peaceful atmosphere. Don't miss the stairs that start from the middle of the town to go up to the hill close by. It's a 5 minutes walk and it will open beutiful views over the town and the bay.

I went during autumn, so the weather was not great to swim or do summer activities. However the surroundings are beautiful, and with a car in less than one hour you reach the Koster natural reserve which I totally recommend. Fjällbacka is a nice little town with fishing harbour.
Fjällbacka is a nice little town with fishing harbour. You do some hiking and climbing on the Kungsklyftan. It is also the location of the Fjällbacka murders, written by Camilla Läckberg. Very quiet in May; should be very lifely in July.

There are rooms with and without bathrooms. We were able to upgrade to a room with bathroom and it was very good! The view from the place is magnificent even if it is on a couple of rows back from the harbor. The walk to the harbor is a couple of minutes only. Having parking on-site was a real boon. The apartment was very well-equipped, clean and tidy, and tastefully furnished. Two suggestions for improvement 1) a kettle for tea drinkers and 2) put a house number on/close to the door to make it easier to find! (We phoned the owner for advice, and she was very helpful).
