The staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms were large and very clean. The breakfast was great and started early (7am) which is what we needed. The parking was really easy right outside the hotel.

Tondela is a small town but has everything you could need.
Tondela is a small town but has everything you could need. They have a football ground, bus station, a lovely park and the people are very friendly. It is easy to walk around the town which is just as well as no public transport. I have eaten at a few places in the town and have never had bad food either in snack bars or restaurants. I can recommend Joaninha's for coffee, snacks and pastries, and also Green's in the park for light snacks and drinks. The Vintage Caffe is great for meals and 3 Pipos just outside town for a special meal.

Tondela is a small town about 90 minutes from Porto. I originally stayed as my son and daughter in law had a flat there whilst looking for property. There are plenty of restaurants and takeaways, shops and a lovely little park as well as a public swimming pool. There is a weekly market and everyone seems to be very friendly. It is a great base for a walking/cycling holiday especially with the Ecopista da Dao on the doorstep and cities such as Porto, Viseu and Coimbra not too far away or visits to the beaches at Aveiro or Figuera da Foz.AnnUnited Kingdom - 6.0Scored 6.0

It's a regular small town in middle rural Portugal, that happens to thrive a little more than others because it's just by a main road. Center is nice enough but small and everything in it has better alternatives in other, more traditional, towns. Has a couple of great restaurants though (but then again, so have the other towns). It's a fair place to stop if you are travelling or visiting the greater area.
