The entire stay far exceeded all of our expectations!! The employees are all extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating! The rooms are extremely spacious and very clean. The kitchenette is perfectly equipped.
On our last evening we ate in the restaurant - excellent service and super tasty dishes!
The location is also amazing - walking distance to three stunning beaches and also the cute town Ferragudo is just 10 min away.
We had a blast and will definitely come back!! Thank you so much dear Rural Brícia du Mar Team 🙃

Amazing location on the beach, beautiful views and surrounding around the pool. The pool is clean and great for swimming, in particular for kids. Apartment is clean and kitchen is renovated- even better than photos. Great food in restaurants around - walking distance. The beach is amazing for families- and more beaches on the open sea accessible via quick car ride or a bit longer walk. It was easy to get uber, we didn’t have car. All in all, absolute enjoyment- can’t wait to repeat!

Maria was a wonderful host. She even made us delicious traditional flavoursome bread/scones, they were delicious. She does not speak English bus we always laughed and hugged and got by!

Wonderful and relaxing place to visit, but a car is a requirement! Will definitely return to Ferragudo! The Benagil grotto and dolphin boat tour is a must! Visit: Sagres, Selema, Burgau, Tavira, Monchique. A delightful server at Algar Seco made several culture and dining recommendations, including O Charneco - definitely dine here, but an Uber might work better if you are going to drink or the narrow roads make you nervous!MattUnited States - 10Scored 10

Ferragudo is a little gem of a traditional fishing town. Backstreets with family run cafes, restaurants, bars but nothing too over crowded. The town square is the central hub day and night but quieter off street restaurants also available so best of both. Ferragudo is a pretty fishing village on the Algave.
Ferragudo is a pretty fishing village on the Algave. It has 2 lovely beaches, the Praia Grande has a handful of bars and restaurants and sun loungers for hire but does not feel particularly crowded, its a great sandy beach for kids with safe, swimming water and pedalos for hire. The town has some lovely restaurants and is very pretty and typically Portuguese with winding streets and colourful houses. I would suggest its not ideal for parents with small children as there are a lot of steps which could be a challenge with a buggy.

Ferragudo has retained its charm as a fishing village, despite being a popular destination for tourists. Views accross the bay are beautiful. There are several good restaurants to choose from, including the quayside fish -grilling ones, in addition to the option of dining in at Vitor's Village. There is a large and popular beach close to Ferragudo, (Praia Grande) in addition to smaller cove beaches a little further afield. There's a cliff walk of about 7Km along to the (larger) village of Carvoiero, which takes around 3 hours and involves some "scrambling" ; like a lot of the local coastal walks it's good to do "one way" and arrange a lift back!NaomiUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

Nice little town as a destination for a morning walk to get a coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice. Lovely town square with good restaurants and friendly waitstaff. Small fresh fruit and vegetable market and fresh fish on the docks. Very nice large beach close to town and several smaller beaches close by. Challenging hiking paths were also close by. We used Ferragudo as our base while we explored all of the Algarve. Parking the car was a problem but that seems to be the case in all of Portugal.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

Train station area is terrible, but hotel area is like a different world. As busses are often late, you can cross the bridge on foot and after 2,5 km you are in Portimao, where is big Shopping center etc.GuntraLuxembourg

These rooms have windows that open up to a square with multiple restaurants. It can be quite noisy in the evening, but I like that. It quiets down at about 10:30 PM. The rooms are small, but everything is updated and extremely clean and fun and nice! The hosts are very nice and accommodating. The beach is located a short walk away. The stunning sunset views each evening on the rooftop was the icing on a cake. We were lucky enough to be there during a local festival which just added to the amazing atmosphere of the town. The pool facilities at the Vitor Village was great. I chose it because it is smaller and while not an adults hotel, it is not focussed on children. The staff are great, Ana who helps at breakfast is lovely! Location is 5 minutes walk from the beach of Caneiros which has sunbeds and an excellent beach restaurant where we ate twice...highly recommended. Our car was useful for touring around too.
