We were looking for a relaxing weekend, and Casa dos Castelejos was a perfect spot for this. We stayed at a house, just for ourselves. It had a fully equipped kitchen (you even have a dishwasher and even the essentials such as oil, or salt), air conditioner, and even the basics for the bathroom. The pool was very clean, and the breakfast was pretty good, with fresh fruit and homemade bread. The place is secluded, as you can see on the map. But we staffed ourselves with food and we spent the weekend just to enjoy the site. If you are looking for a relaxed weekend, do not hesitate.

I cannot recommend this herdade highly enough. It is a magical oasis of peace and tranquility on the top of a hill.Recently opened, the architecture is modern and the grounds are beautiful. We had an excellent evening meal and breakfast. The owner is charming and welcoming and we will be sure to return.
Delightful little boutique hotel in the charming village of Casével near the Alentejo town of Castro Verde. The service from the family that run the hotel is fantastic. We had a lovely, spacious room with very good wifi. The hotel is spotless and beautifully refurbished in a modern rustic style. There is a small swimming pool in the central patio and a terrace overlooking the rolling countryside. We were served an excellent dinner for a great price. The town is quiet and beautifully preserved.
Another boutique gem in Portugal.
The staff (Margarida) was super nice. The apartments are very modern and well furnished/decorated and you have all the commodities if you want to stay for more than a couple of days like we did (e.g. there's a small, modern laundry that can be used by all the guests). There's a sunshade and 2 chairs allocated to each apartment on the pool (everyone always has their little space reserved, which is nice). 5m walk from the town center - I have no problem in recommending this place to anyone who wants to visit Castro Verde. :)
Susana is a great host, the room is very comfortable, great to have a basic kitchen, television and internet were both better quality than expected, nice common area, many useful books. Susana and Rui are very knowledgeable about the area and happy to share information.
Castro Verde is a delightful town with many things to do and see, next trip we'll plan 2 days or more for the region.
The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They stored our bikes, provided a setup for us to have dinner in the hotel, and then served us ginja!! Gave us wine recommendations and local recommendations and made us feel welcome. Really appreciated the interaction and the 10 plus hospitality. Would highly recommend for any travelers to Castro Verde!
Exceptional hotel. We loved everything in it from the suite to the swimming pool, without forgetting the amazing cooking of D. Ana. We loved the serene and peaceful atmosphere and the amazing view of the houses. Mr. Filipe also gave us excellent suggestions to visit the towns nearby and even offered us a drone shot of our stay at the hotel.
Castro Verde is a very pretty town; the accommodation is about a 5-6 minute walk from the centre. There is a lovely view over the surrounding countryside. The accommodation was very comfortable and the hosts were delightful. They left a bottle of rose in the fridge and a little bouquet on the dining table.
