Carvoeiro was excellent, smaller and quieter than some of the other towns and still had more restaurants than you can visit in a week and they all were excellent. Easy walk to multiple beaches and lots of exploring to do with the Seven Hanging Valleys trail so close. No need for a car everything was a short walk. Carvoeiro Tours was an excellent boat tour of the caves that picked us up right on the beach. Boneca Bar in the Algar Seco was just a fantastic lunch stop after the tour for drinks and more exploring.

We were there in November, weather was rainy and windy the first day, but sunny and 65 the second day. This is a hard town to get to from Seville, so we ended up hiring a driver to take us from Seville to Faro where we rented a car and drove to Carvoeiro. Lovely little town. We ate at O Cantinho and A Gale, both traditional Portuguese restaurants that I would highly recommend. Great boardwalk along the cliffs above the ocean. Easy to walk around, hilly, but that did not bother us. Pretty short drive to Praha Marinha where we hiked the the seven hanging valleys trail. All in all, a great spot for exploring the Algarve. I would very much like to go back here.

We have been to this area before and like it’s proximity to the town, you can walk there is 30 mins, Carvoeira, also there are supermarkets cafes and restaurants nearby, some of the later you can walk to. There are several interesting towns nearby such as Alvor and Silves and beautiful boardwalks at Alvor and Salgados plus the lovely walk at beach at Pria do Vale de Centeanes.
Favourite place to eat for us have been O Algar at Benagil, La Bella Vita, Primavera plus Organic or Earth for breakfast/ brunch and Decadente for coffee snacks and drinks in the evening.

Went in early October and weather was perfect with wall to wall sunshine and temperatures in the 20s. Carvoeiro is a nice mix of buzz and good restaurants and pubs with a busy beach. Surrounding villages, beaches and cliff walks are stunning.
Everything. While it's about 10 mins from Carvoeiro, I would much prefer staying here. The setting is absolutely stunning and very peaceful. The room had everything we needed and was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The service from the front desk and the restaurant was excellent. They can't seem to do enough to make sure your stay is enjoyable. We had a room in the hotel, but I imagine the Villas are wonderful too. Such a special place to stay. So much nicer than being right in a town. It is an exceptional value.
The room was spacious and airy. the air conditioning was not too loud. There was plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. Tea/coffee was provided and water was left in the mini fridge. The bed was comfortable. My room had a balcony which led out to the pool but was still private. The hotel is situated within 2 minutes walk off the main centre but far enough away to avoid night time noise. The TV was a lovely addition.
The apartment was huge , separate living room / kitchen area with small balcony , kitchen area well equipped with everying needed for cooking etc , spacious bedroom again with larger balcony loads of wardrobe space . TV in bedroom and living room . Toiletries replenished daily , plenty clean towels . Fab clean apartments , 10/15 minute stroll into carvoeiro centre so great location
We travelled around the Algarve for over a week and Carvoeiro town and this hotel were by far the best places we visited! It’s very quiet and relaxing with birds singing in the garden. The studio was very modern, had a very comfy bed and a big terrace. We loved our stay and wished we could’ve stayed longer.
The property is beautiful and situated a perfect location which give you an amazing of the Algarve rocky coast. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are all excellent. The staff are very friendly! This is our third stay in this hotel with 12 months period. We love it here!
We booked late so it was one of the only places available, very good value for money, clean and easy to walk to Carveiro Village and the Beach. Secure Parking! We were worried Carveiro would be too "touristy," but was absolutely lovely and laid back.
It was a really nice hotel, very clean and felt very COVID safe. The rooms were very large and well decorated and the pool was beautiful! Good location in Carvoeiro, about a 20 minute walk from the beach and town centre with the restaurants etc.
Only a few hundred meters from an amazing beach with a small restaurant. Staff was exceptionally attentive and went above and beyond when I had some WIFI issues. They resolved the issue promptly and politely. Very kid-friendly property.
The views of our sea view room were amazing. The location of hotel is ideal, a 10-15 minute walk into the town centre of Carvoeiro and the beach. Also the hotels rooftop Sky Bar was beautiful for a drink before dinner in the evening.
We were looking for a place that was off the beaten path, and we found it!!! The absolute cutest, with a super warm welcome, including a meat platter, bottle of wine, and ice cold homemade lemonade upon arrival.
Amazing little town! The hotel was close to the main beach and town center unfortunately only stayed one night. Cute and quiet little villa was everything we wanted in Carvoeiro, now I have to go back!
absolutely fantastic location, beautiful room with a sea view and overlooking the square, immaculately clean room, lovely bathroom, a fridge, kettle and balcony, love love love this hotel
Great location with fabulous restaurants and bars close by .
Great coastal walks and lovely beach cove in the centre of Carvoeiro.
Nice pool and bar , great breakfast selection
Great place to stay in Carvoeiro, staff, facilities, food, all excellent! A car or other means of transport is needed as it is a 25-30min walk from the centre of Carvoeiro.
Great location, fabulous breakfast and the host, Carla couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend this little gem in the centre of Carvoeiro.
Carvoeiro is one of our favorite towns in the Algarve. We were looking forward to staying at Villa Lourenco. Unfortunately, Villa Lourenco was a disaster.
