The hosts were exceedingly friendly & helpful. We had a choice of rooms & chose a room with a huge picture window from which we watched the sunset. The home produced breakfast on the pretty terrace overlooking an orchard with a gambling hare was a wonderful start to the day. We loved their own cheeses, breads & elderflower cordial. We had a walk from the property & it was beautiful, I wished we'd had longer.

During dinner a few young children ran screaming by our table over a period of 20 minutes while waiting to be served. I ask the young waitress if I could speak with the manager. She said that there was no manager on site. I told her what was bothering us. She said she would have a word with the parents. Short an angry man can to our table and said that this hotel was built for children and we could go fuck ourselves or fuck off. We left to our room and spoke to the receptionist. We arranged that a manager would come to our room at 8.30 am the following morning to discuss the problem. At 9.30 the said manager rang. She apologised ( inadequately). Her compromise was she would give a discount of a future visit. There will me no future visit from me. Awful management
