The place was nice but the staff serving the breakfast needs training and also the chef.

Fantastic dive resort with excellent staff. The service was top-notch from pickup throughout our stay. The in-house dive center offers up to 5 dives a day around the area with great dive masters. The location is clean, quiet, very well maintained and has a lush garden and nice swimming pool. The food is excellent, homemade and has different options. Breakfast is great.

It's a Divers thing.
It's a Divers thing. If you don't dive there is only the dark sand beach. Very crowded on weekends. Lots of loud ghetto blasters.
No night life except a couple of quiet bars on the main road. No food available after 10pm. Maybe if you're lucky a hotdog stand, but you have to look for it. She changes locations every few days.

Dauin is lovely- I would 100% come back here again and recommend to friends. It is nowhere near as busy as other places we visited on Cebu Island (malapascua, moalboal). The locals seem to care so much more about their coastline and the marine ecosystem- they have designated sanctuary areas where the coral and fish are amazing. There is also a rule that buildings must be more than 30m from the high water mark. The beach is nice - not much rubbish. Dark sand (which can get hot!) You can snorkel right off the beach - lovely coral, fish, turtles etc.
And the area is not too busy. Locals come here for picnics and its a really nice atmosphere.
The dive shop that has an office in the hotel - Apo Dive - was great! I did some shore dives around Dauin, including reef and muck dives, and they arranged the Apo Island day trip. The dive instructors were professional and super nice and helped me find some frogfish in the muck :)
The food in the restaurant of the hotel was also good, though they don’t offer good vegetarian options. Portions were large - I asked for half portions, which they provided (same price as the full portion).
The location at the beach is great. There are two nice dive sites directly in front of the resort. The reception and dive staff are friendly and helpful. The huts are simple but comfortable enough and priced fairly. They have hot showers which was a pleasant surprise. The diving equipment is in a good enough state, though some wetsuits were a bit worn.
Staff are fantastic and very friendly from the restaurant and hotel to the dive instructors. Located directly on the beach for easy shore dives to the house reef. Food is good as well.
I didn't do any scuba courses (only fun diving) here but I could see the professionalism of the instructors conducting their courses and would recommend them.
Friendly, accomodating, and helpful staffs.
Not crowded which was great for chilling and relaxing.
Love the tropical vibe and the swimming pool design.
They have a bar which offer beverages. Their coffee is good.
They offer food menu for deliveries from nearby restaurants or eateries.
Location is just few meters from the beach.
The location was a short 3 minute walk to the beach. There were also several eating establishments within walking distance which is necessary since they did not offer food. The pool was also a big plus. The staff was very helpful in addressing my concerns.
The meals included with Apo Island day trip were fantastic. Having space to relax at the resort (either in hammocks or beach chairs) was great. Location was perfect for snorkelling in the marine sanctuary and enjoying the beach.
Incredibly friendly staff. Comfortable room. Great balcony to sip coffee in the morning. Cold service water always available. Good AC. Location perfect. One of my favorite places to stay in the Philippines.
The location was great to access the beach and diving. Great snorkling as well. Nice style accomodation simple and confortable. The hostess was smily and helpfull. Perfect for us, had a very good stay.
Just a perfect place to stay near the beach, newly built and very authentic, the host Brigitte, is a wonderful kind and helpful lady. We really enjoyed our day and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Wonderfully appointed room for this price range in Dauin. Spotlessly clean and well laid out. We have stayed at a number of places in this area, and Amigos is one of the best at this price range.
Very nice resort by the beach, very nice pool, playground for kids, has their own dive shop, and restaurant. Resort staffs are excellent, very well trained, and always ready to serve the guests.
Nice sized room. Good location on the beach front near diving centres. Restaurant has limited options but for reasonable price. Easy to access from main road- about 5 min walk
