Located 19 km from Tarsier Conservation Area, 25 km from Chocolate Hills and 50 km from Baclayon Church, Matilde B&B - La Paz, Carmen offers accommodation set in Carmen.

Matilde B&B could not have been better. We stayed so that we could get to the Chocolate Hills for Sunrise (strongly recommend). We were welcomed beautifully, offered anything we needed and gave advice for the surrounding area. The room was lovely and comfortable. The staff super friendly and even gave advice for the morning viewing. Had breakfast waiting for us as we returned too. Room rate was very reasonable too and even had Netflix in the room too. Could not rate highly enough.

Casa Aguelo, hotel in Carmen

Featuring mountain views, Casa Aguelo features accommodation with patio, around 24 km from Tarsier Conservation Area.

This is a Genuine review as other places have offered money to leave a good one. We arrived at Casa Aguelo and were taken back by the scenery, nestled quietly in the middle of the chocolate hills and only 5 minutes to the main view point. The building itself was the cleanest and well built property we’ve stayed in whilst travelling the Philippines and the food was fantastic (The Host went out to buy fresh produce for every meal). The staff were very accommodating and helpful, a small family run business definitely worth visiting. The Host offered to take us on a private tour of the island visiting local sites away from all the tourism. He did so in his own state of the art pick up truck offering to let us take a ride in the back (open air) where we were given a panoramic view as we drove. He spoke to us about the many things Bohol had to offer and let us create our own itinerary. He spent the day from 08:00am until 18:00 showing us the beautiful wildlife, private waterfalls and introducing us the locals and showing us the true bohol. After all this he drove us all the way down to Panglao island over two hours away to our next destination. He was the best company and explained everything and anything he could about the culture and places we’d visited along the way. What we paid was better than reasonable compared to the price of the more commercial tours scattered all over Bohol. We are a family of three backpacking and staying in hostels, beach huts etc and only visited here on a recommendation (so glad we did). I’ve kept in touch with Bernard and will be bringing along other family members next time. Experience the Real Bohol at Casa Aguelo giving a 5* all day long. Sad to leave and wish we’d had more time with the family, two days just wasn’t enough. Thank you Bernard x

BARRIL GREEN HOMESTAY, hotel in Carmen

Boasting garden views, BARRIL GREEN HOMESTAY offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 15 km from Tarsier Conservation Area.

Great family and interaction, everyone was doing something to assist, always enquiring if i needed a lift to the town or somewhere special, either by car or bike they owned. Open front garden and patio area with large table and chairs if you needed to work a power point was available I was constantly asked if I require diner or breakfast, a godsend in many ways if I didn't want to go into the small town. A very easy and pleasant experience all round, Nyko the 19 year old son was ready to take you anywhere, even walk locally to hidden forest walks, the little girls came to help mum serve food. nice

LHOYJEAN Garden Hostel, hotel in Carmen

Situated in Batuan, 15 km from Tarsier Conservation Area, LHOYJEAN Garden Hostel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Awesome stay! I must say that the pics were not too much appealing at first, but when I saw the reviews I told myself that I must try it! Owners are very lovely. We used to have a grear dinner with other backpackers for 200 pesos. I met great people there and it is close to the chocolate hills. It is possible to rent a bike as well, if you want to explore the further locations.

Little peace of heaven in the middle of Bohol. Surrounded by coconut trees, looked after by the best staff! The vegan dinner is a real treat and the vibes are immaculate. I was lucky enough to get one of the swinging beds. Such an experience to sleep on them!

Chloe’s Paradise Hostel, hotel in Carmen

Located in Batuan, within 15 km of Tarsier Conservation Area and 33 km of Chocolate Hills, Chloe’s Paradise Hostel provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as...

The hosts odelia and lito were incredibly friendly and attentive. Their service truly deserves more than a ten. They even went above and beyond by personally driving me to the bus station. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean, making my stay even more enjoyable. The fact that they also offer scooter rentals on-site was extremely convenient. The location of the hostel was ideal, just about 15 minutes away from the famous Chocolate Hills. Overall, I highly recommend Chloey's Paradise Hostel to anyone looking for a friendly atmosphere, top-notch service, impeccable cleanliness and a convenient location.
