The location was nice and peaceful and the hosts were great. We arrrived early and the hosts were accomodating enough to let us in early. The property is in a rural setting but is still realtively handy to Wellsford and Mangawhai.

Really tasteful townhouse, perfect for us - we are 5 friends travelling to do the mangawhai coastal walk. Generous coffee pods, teas and milks, nice linens. Great location within walking distance of the pub/ market/ mangawhai shops. Had a microwave, toaster etc and plenty of crockery for takeaways.

We loved our stay at plume villas. Everything was well done and all facilities within the room were excellent.
Unfortunately the restaurant was closed so we had to go into Matakana for dinner

Close to all areas matakana, Warkworth, waipu and snells beach Mangawhai and only 33 min to millwater area. If you don't want to be in Auckland this is a great little motel. Has a sauna and a spa. Great having the new motorway

Dinner at a great restaurant - where the food and service was brilliant and breakfast at a cafe with excellent food and service and able to park right outside I would like to have time to look into some of their shops - we were on a business trip and had a deadline to keep to.

Wellsford is a town you have to drive through as you travel...
Wellsford is a town you have to drive through as you travel north to the Bay of Islands and beyond. It can be a bottle neck so if you are not heading there for an overnight stay, best to make certain that you do not hit it at peak travel times or season. It has everything for a quick stop. Petrol station. Many fast food outlets and amenities for travellers. If you want to take a quieter more scenic route to Auckland, then take the road to Hellensville which joins SH1 at Wellsfords Northern end. For those watching time Wellsford is approximately half way between Auckland and Whangarei.LindsayNew Zealand - 8.0Scored 8.0

We have stayed at Wellsford a number of times { with friends } due to my husband having worked around the area, many years ago, due to his job. It is a hop to a number of beaches etc. The only down side I find is the busy traffic on the main street

Wellsford is where we have family living so we often go to a motel to stay one or two nights. This time we went to Bennetts Store by the wharf for lunch the fish and chips were very good, well worth a visit
