It was super clean and tidy and the space was great the location was fabulous and Colleen and Leo were so friendly and super welcoming definitely recommended
Pretty place in all seasons. Has interesting museums to visit. (And a gin distillery) Unfortunately as we stayed overnight on a Sunday all the museums we were looking forward to were closed on a Monday. The Gin distillery was also closed due to unforeseen circumstances. Shopping and browsing in shops was a delight. Apart from one very brusque retail assistant in The Page and Post Booksellers, everyone else we encountered in shops and art galleries was friendly, welcoming and made the experience a pleasant one. Special shout-out to the lovely hairdresser who agreed to cut my husbands hair without a booking!

Since leaving Oldfields in Geraldine, my husband realises that he has lost his prescription sunglasses and as Oldfields was our last accommodation in NZ, he is enquiring if he left these glasses at the property?
Could you please enquire on his behalf it that is the case.
We do not have owners Sue and John Jensen’s email address so we cannot contact them directly.
You assistance would be appreciated.

Geraldine is a charming small town.
Geraldine is a charming small town. Check out Barker's Food Store and the Susan Badcock Gallery over the old Post Office. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the Peel Forest and its area of unspoiled native bush is a treasure, especially for its native bird life and 1,000 year old trees. There are many delightful restaurants and cafe´s in the area. Try the Cafe´Verde in Geraldine or the Woodbury Store Cafe´. Both are excellent. Geraldine is definitely a place to stop for a couple of days if you like mountain biking or hiking.

What a lovely wee town.
What a lovely wee town. I spent some time there because of family history reasons. Did some day trips to coast & surrounds, as well as some walking. The people were very friendly & helpful. Lovely quiet place to stay. Didn't really trial any restaurants apart from the Crowne Hotel where I stayed, & that didn't suit my palate.

The motel was great, I was on my way to Wanaka but wanted to break the journey and watch the All Blacks. I did that and the hosts assisted me given I was running late and I enjoyed a big brunch in mid morning just up the road which was great. So a fleeting visit but most enjoyable stay in Geraldine.

Geraldine is a great little town.
Geraldine is a great little town. Worthy of more than a one night stop. Good selection of restaurants. We ate at the Royal Indian and the food was superb. Good independent shops, including cheese shop, butchers and Barkers.
Barkers manufacture a huge range of jams, chutneys, sauces and cordial to name a small selection. Good coffee and music at The Record Keeper. Vintage Motor Museum worth visiting too.
Where do we begin. The home is quiet, the master suite was spotless, modern, clean, and private. The host and hostess were gracious, friendly, accommodating and made us feel at home in Geraldine. We had only one night, but could have spent several more if we had the chance. The landscaping of the grounds made this place a paradise. The furry animals that roam the place added a nice homey touchy. Loved River and Misty! We would return to this hidden gem of a place.
This place is absolute paradise. Quiet, private and beautiful beyond compare. Just remembering my time here makes me well up with happy tears. I don't think I have ever been so relaxed than as during the nights I stayed at Nga Whare Manatu. This was the best location I stayed at in all of New Zealand and I just can't say enough positive stuff about this place. It sounds ridiculous but you'll go and you'll see and you'll say, "Oh, I get it."
It was a pleasure to meet Coll and Leo, such lovely hosts. The self contained ensuite guest accommodation had everything we could possibly need, breakfast was lovely and amazing considering what great value our stay was. Its worth a visit alone to see the stunning gardens and Leo's tool museum.
We absolutely loved visiting Geraldine such a friendly and welcoming place. We will definitely be coming back.
The best stay of our cross country New Zealand trip! Colleen and Leo are amazingly friendly hosts, the room was clean and showers were very warm, room was immaculately decorated with adequate space for 2, and the breakfast available was amazing. Thank you for capping off our holiday with this lovely stay
Lovely large room, clean and tidy, comfy bed.
Excellent self catering facilities that included a full size cooker.
Staff very friendly and welcoming.
Central location in Geraldine, have stayed here before a few years ago and didn't disappoint.
Would stay here again.
Wonderful place to stay. Julie (and Mason) are awesome. House is just delightful. Super comfy, clean. Toast, jams, cereal or home made muesli. Good choice of teas and coffee. Would highly recommend and will stay here again, should we return to Geraldine.
Studio room size and facilities were very adequate and comfortable. Quite location yet close/walkable to town centre. Appreciated the early checkin and late checkout. Many thanks to Geraldine Motels - we enjoyed a great weekend (for a golf tournament).
Vinnie and Sarah have a beautiful home overlooking farm land. The gardens that Sarah maintains are beautiful. You are welcomed with snacks and true "Southern Hospitality." The home is near Geraldine, NZ. Beautiful town. We truly enjoyed our stay ❤️.
Very well located with only 5 minutes walk to the town. Our two bedroom motel had plenty of space for up to 6 people,
a Queen bedroom down stairs, and a Queen bed with two singles upstairs. The price would make it very economical for a family.
We have stayed in Geraldine many times before. This is the best motel in town. The owners go that little bit further with a couple of complementary biscuits and supply a good sized bottle of milk. No tiny UHT milk sachets here thank goodness.
Friendly helpful staff, super comfy beds lovely warm unit. Really clean like proper clean! With an excellent daily service. Geraldine is a cute wee place with heaps to do and a great base to see loads of the countryside.
Actual Name of hotel is Crown Heritage, had a problem locating cos it’s different name. Location is convenient but its a super small town, all within walking distance
It was quiet and not in the middle of Geraldine but only a few minutes by car. Breakfast was amazing and our hosts were kind and helpful with local amenities.
