Easy access with lockbox. Beds were pretty comfortable. Outdoor seating was fantastic, with great views over Ahipara beach! Cooking facilities were very welcome, pretty well stocked. Quite and private. The inclusion of the map of the cape and advice on what to see and do was a very thoughtful addition.

Cosy unit. I needed a bottle opener, which was happily supplied. Staff were just lovely. Comfy bed and excellent shower. Booked dinner for 9 as we had family join us on our last night. Fantastic meal and service.

Loved our stay, the room was very spacious for a motel and very clean. I usually get sniffly in motels if they are stuffy but this one I felt fine. Clean linen, TV with Netflix etc, full kitchen - Kitchen was well equipped with utensils, crockery, toaster etc.
The location was perfect as we were catching a concert at Te Ahu Library which is right across the street.
Bonus was the ability to bring our dog, ensured we brought her lockable cage so she stayed in her area - a dog park nearby too which is awesome.

Cool wee settlement with iconic views up the entire 90 mile Beach. Kaitia offers services that are nit avalailable here only 20 minutes away. Hoons driving recklessly on the beach spoilt the experience a little. 7/10 so worth the effort to visit.

Ahipara is a small town right on the Tasman sea.
Ahipara is a small town right on the Tasman sea. There was a herd of wild horses wandering the beach. The surfing looked good too. I enjoyed the quiet relaxed ambiance of this place and would recommended it over the busier bigger town of Kaitaia.catharineUnited States - 10Scored 10

Ahipara is a beautiful part of the far north, we had great weather and good surf. Loved the apartment, it was warm & spacious, well appointed and beautifully kept. A fantastic location overlooking the Tasman Sea. Stunning sunsets. Ahipara is an awesome coastal town - great for fishing, surfing and outdoor lifestyle. Local superette has all you need. Plus Bidz takeaways are great for fish and chips. North Drift Cafe has excellent coffee and reakfast/lunch menu looked yummy although we didn't eat there. Overall Ahipara is a relaxed and enjoyable place to stay.
