Very impressed for the price . Lovely garden and open lounge/ kitchen .kitchen had everything you could want. Bathroom had heated floor. You can tell this is a real home and not just a converted space for tourists.The nicest stay I’ve had in Norway .

If you want to see wild Nordic landscapes, or experience the buzz of a city, you won't find either in Tønsberg. However, if what you want is a quiet few days somewhere pleasant, with the conveniences of shops, cafés and restaurants thrown in, you'll find Tønsberg to be a very nice place.

It's a really pretty city on the Norwegian coastline between Sandefjord-Torp Airport and Oslo. Stayed got a few days on the way back to the airport and it was all lovely (would recommend the taj mahal curry restaurant as well for food).AlexUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0
There were lots of great restaurants by the water.
There were lots of great restaurants by the water. Most people speak English to there is no language barrier here. Unless you have a car to go outside of town I would not stay more than a few days. If you don't mind taking the train everywhere then Tonsberg can be a nice base city from which to travel to other cities in the area.

Tonsberg is a very nice city.

Lovely scenery locally. Parking was very difficult and confusing. Ended up getting a ticket when I believe I was parking in an allowable space. Even when asking locals it was difficult to understand where and when it was possible to park.

The breakfast was very good. The hotel car park has few stalls and when we arrived it was full so we used a public car park next to the hotel for 350kr a day. In front of the hotel is a seaside boulevard with many restaurants and bars with a super good and lively atmosphere.LuisaNorway

The room had a good size with simple furnishing but everything you need for a short stay, I was positively surprised by the breakfast buffet. This offered a great choice from healthy options, fruits and salads to a selection of different breads, cold cuts and variations of egg, potatoes, bacon, sausages and meat balls. All presented in a spacious setup. Public paid parking is right at the hotel with direct access to the hotel.
