Absolutely insane location, very beautiful - morning and evening walks are amazingly relaxing. The building is very old but in a very nice condition, and I loved the racing theme present all around inside.

Knut was the perfect host! As a fifth generation hotelier, his friendly welcome and willingness to share his knowledge of the area was so appreciated. We found the family farm, thanks to Knut's books and careful explanation of naming conventions of the past century. The mid-century modern lobby was welcoming and the restaurant's farm based food options were delicious, presented beautifully by smiling servers. It felt like coming home....in a very good way..

Updated comfortable room with a very comfortable bed. We went for one of the fjord view rooms and it was so quiet. The breakfast in the morning was a very nice assortment of cold and hot breakfast items. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Location was good as we were on a road trip to Geiranger. It provided a good stopover for us to rest and have our own cooked dinner. Everything was clean and there were clear instructions on what to do during check in and check out. We loved that there was the washing machine and dryer for us to wash our clothes.

A fantastic stopover between Bergen and Beitostølen, this place offers stunning fjord views right from the room. We appreciated the on-site bicycles and children's play park. The room is basic but comes with private bathroom. excellent water pressure. It was a peaceful stay as there were only a few other guests in the motel building. Shared kitchen was clean and well equipped. Check-in and check-out were smooth, with staff readily available and extremely friendly and welcoming.

We carefully planned our Norway trip and Laerdalsoyri was excellent choice to stop after drivnig the scenic road by Stegastein and before another amazing road to Gol the next day. Would recomend it to all travelers.
The room was in the historic building. The whole building was beautifully arranged with history and perfect pieces of furniture. Lovely. The bathroom was a little difficult due to age, but that was part of the beauty! The room was so clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and happy. The property has a newer modern hotel and looks like three or more historic buildings. They have steps only, but hardwood floors and complete character and beauty!

Location is beautiful. Right next to the fjords of Norway and countless hiking opportunities and trips nearby to enjoy the scenery. 'Gamle Lærdalsøyri' (old part of village) is < 5 minute walk from the site. Great playground for the kids on site. Suitable for campers, cabins, tents, caravans - you name it. I stayed at the motel, room was clean and OK - just as described and pictured. Staff was friendly and serviceminded.
This hotel is so nice and cozy that I was sad that we need to leave it. It is pet friendly - dogs are allowed to be everywhere and the staff is really friendly and nice. Hotel is located od great location and it is full of beautiful photos and details. I highly recommend it and will be happy to come back again.
Room was stylish with well-chosen pieces of furniture. Comfortable bed and good quality linen. Good view over the colourful houses of the old town. Breakfast buffet was adequate. We visited Borgund Stave church and this hotel is in an ideal location for this. Also it is worth walking around the old town.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
Always smiling and welcoming
There is an old part of the hotel which is like museum and its very nice
Beds are comfortable.
There is a good supermarket open late night just in front.
Breakfast is acceptable and resturant is well decorated and clean.
The place definitely has it's own character and feels very authentic. The beds were comfy. The staff is very friendly and nice. Bathrooms are clean.
Breakfast is a bit too simple but it'll get you going in the morning.
Free parking right in the backyard of the hotel.
We were passing by the area and we looked for a hotel to stay for an overnight stop The hotel was located in the edge of the fjord and the scenery was beautiful. The room was spacious and clean and the staff friendly.
The hotel was very close to the sea at the head of an unspoiled beautiful fjord. The building had a well-equipped kitchen where we could prepare meals. There were two supermarkets nearby.
