Walking proximity to Chateau Marquette - ideal if staying there for an event. Room was clean and breakfast was good. Staff is also nice and were able to check in earlier.

It was an incredible experience. I imagined that the whole castle was mine. This was not difficult, because the size of the castle allows residents to rarely intersect. I will not describe all the delights of living in a castle; I will highlight only a few. Excellent sound insulation, comfortable mattresses and pillows, good hot water pressure. Very pleasant bed linen. At night the castle is heated a little, but this is unnecessary. The temperature is very comfortable

Its unique location at 40 metres atop a dune and right on the coast makes the renovated Strandhotel Het Hoge Duin an iconic landmark in Wijk aan Zee/North Holland.

We ate at five restaurants in town and all were very good; however, La Dolce Vita at Bachplein 5 really stands out. This is a small, quiet restaurant without any fancy atmosphere type decorations - just excellent food, in appropriately sized portions - not mega-sized - and at very reasonable prices. We took our bikes with us and did a lot of riding around the town and the country side. The Museum of Beach Finds just outside of Castricum, about 4-5km from Heemskerk is a must see place.

We cycled and were tired when we got there. I wish we’d booked our evening meal before hand as we were too late to do so when we got there and had to walk to the village. Although we ate at the near by Chinese all you can eat (and drink) buffet (called Delight) which was very easy!
Firstly, exceptional hosts. So friendly and accommodating. The apartments are attached to the fabulous family bakery/cafe, where a very enjoyable breakfast is served. It's hard to leave without buying a few local treats.
Very modern and spacious apartment with all facilities. Loved our stay in Heemskerk!
it was really close to the Big bazaar and only 30 Minutes away from Amsterdam central by car. The hotel looks beautiful outside and the reception and dining/breakfast room were pretty too. We enjoyed our breakfast there and were glad that the parkings were free.
The breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious. We were happy to rent a bike for a day to discover the town of Heemskerk and the beach. The accomodation is stunning, the garden and the castle as well.
Beautiful hotel in wonderful surroundings. Delicious and varied breakfast. The room was clean and elegant, the bathtub in the bathroom stole my heart ❤️
