Opuwo is a needed stop between Etosha and Pupa, but it is a dusty and busy town. This lodge is in an oasis of peace, near the river, off the main road. The cottages are beautiful and new, the restaurant is great, the pool is nice and also the camp sites are excellent, from the feedback we had by other guests we met in the restaurant.

Nothing. Dirty. They were not expecting me. Staff not very helpful … a/c remote not working and all I got was a shrugged shoulder. It ran all night be sude I couldn’t switch it off. Disgusting “kitchen” area … there was something in a jar that looked like something large might have crawled into it an died, years ago. I was afraid to open it! Indeed, it’s one of those places that one is afraid to touch ! I left at daybreak … couldn’t get out of their fast enough. If you really must stay in Opuwo, try the lovely Zimbabwean dentists place on the south side of town as you’re driving in. Don’t stay in this place.
