Rooms were ok, and comfortable they could be way better if some maintenance was done. Overall very clean, but given that everything is outdated it gives a poor impression

I lived in Mexico City for a couple of years, so Guaymas was a bit of a shock. It's comparatively expensive. Finding decent Mexican food here that isn't seafood isn't easy. Guaymas is quite Americanized: there was a Macdonald's, Burger King, Autozone and a couple of other chains within walking distance of the motel. I mostly ate things purchased from the grocery store, since I found the food so disappointing. To be fair, I might have been in the wrong area, but that's one of Guaymas's problems: lack of information. I never did find a tourist information kiosk or office...If you plan to go to San Carlos, RENT A CAR. If I have to drive, it's not a vacation, so I had to taxi it to Playa Los Algodones, a considerable expense for how short the distance. Personally, I preferred Playa Miramar--much more chill. Also, don't go during August; the humidity is outrageous! On the upside, I never once felt unsafe walking by myself, even at night. Do check out Cafenio for your morning coffee and even matcha, with a choice of soy milk! I'm not sure I've found that anywhere else in Mexico. Guaymas downtown has some lovely old buildings, and a casa de cultura that has all its original features since it was built in 1910. The malecon is a nice walk at night, and new movies are about USD 3, at the time of writing, and an 8 minute walk from the motel. I now have a good idea of how to improve my next trip when I need the beach again. I will definitely stay at the same motel because it's near everything. Public transportation is cheap and what I used to get around longer distances almost exclusively.

Guaymas is a Port situated on the Mar de Cortez where destinations cruises make stops to the visitors, tourists and travelers can have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful views. Visiting San Carlos a few miles odf Guaymas was a great experience, you can find good restaurants, beach entertaining like ride on bote, kayaks , horses and many more... well recomend.
Great customer service, they provided clean towels, bathing supplies every day, clean the room daily as well as the facilities were well maintained, is close to the stores, restaurants and beaches, my wish list on a future visit will be if the rooms would have a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator but even without them, I was very please during my stay at the hotel.
We drive down from Arizona, US to Mazatlan, Mexico
We take two days driving, this hotel is in the prefect spot for us to stay the night. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. The rooms are always cleaned to my standard.
It is also fantastic that you take pets. My dog loves it there, after being in the car all day, he enjoys his walks, while on his leash. Thank you 😊
Staff was helpful and nice, specially the bell hope Lupe . He went way out of his way to accommodate my wife and I.
Hotel security is on point. We felt very safe.
Lastly, Hotel Armida,s pet friendly policies is what made us select this establishment.
We applaud you as we are owners of two rescue dogs who are literally like our children.
We felt very welcome.👍🏆
The young man at the front desk was super friendly with exceptional service! The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was okay, but the beans and potatoes were too salty. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Have stayed here several times. Have always been pleased with this hotel. We carry electric bikes on our car and always feel they are safe at this hotel. There always seems to be security staff around.
For rooms in some locations of the hotel, the garden and pool view were appealing. The 'old west' restaurant on site offered an enjoyable meal and a trophy-filled ambience.
I stayed at this hotel a month before my last stay. I love the fact that the desk staff remembered me and greeted me by name. It is very clean, comfortable, and friendly.
