I can’t possibly say enough good things about Tassili. Hassan, Ishmael and all the staff were incredibly kind and ensured we had the best time.
From camel rides at sunset, to traditional Berber music by the campfire to the day trip meeting a Nomadic community, it was truly a dream. Highly recommend!

We stayed at this beautiful riad for 4 nights. We've been in Morocco six weeks and this was the highlight of our visit.
The riad overlooks the dunes. Our room was spotlessly clean, extremely spacious with comfortable beds, good bed linen and cosy comfortors/duvets and blankets. (We visited in March when the nights can be chilly!)The bathroom is beautiful with a large shower, sink area and good towels.
The pool area is gorgeous and relaxing. Breakfast is generous and our evening meals were delicious.
This hotel is a little outside the town of Merzouga, which means that it's quieter and away from the usual bustle. There was no problem getting in and out of Merzouga - the owner Hassan dropped us in and picked us up. Most importantly the location means that it's very quiet. They've also taken the time to install double glazing so none of the typical noise gets through to your room.
We arrived without any tours booked and the Hotel booked it for us very easily and very reasonably. We spent one night in the dunes (with the requisite camel ride!), had a lovely meal, stayed in a tent and listened to Berber music. We also did quad biking in the dunes and we spend half a day over the Sahara where we visited Nomad families and a local craftsman with Hassan and his cousin Mohammed. We were completely off-road (4x4) with nothing to see except the horizon. Truly amazing experience.
What stands out however, is how well we were looked after. There is a gentle hospitality here and a genuine care for guests. From listening to the soft tones of the Amazigh language, to meeting other locals, to the wonderful food, this was an experience we will remember. We simply did not want to leave.
This area is the heartbeat of Morocco and staying at the Riad was a memorable experience. Thank you Hassan and Mohammed for a wonderful stay.
