Despite the weather and the fact that the restaurant we wanted to go closed at 6h30 pm, which was too early for our stomach, we had a great time in Lotte Resort, especially with the spa, the noraebang and the game zone located in the same building !

A popular gateway for visiting Seoraksan National Park.
A popular gateway for visiting Seoraksan National Park. Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market is a large traditional market offering many local products (eg. fresh and dried seafood) and local street food. Convenient bus services operate within Sokcho and out of Sokcho. There is a beach at the southern end of the city. We saw several new high rise buildings under construction indicating further expansion of the city in the near future.

I really like to visit seoraksan national park for mount hiking.
I visited Sokcho fish market and had King crab.
Bus 7 and 7-1 go to Sokcho express bus terminal/ Sokcho intercity bus terminal/ Sokcho seafood market.
I used to stay resort before. It is nice and good scenery but I had to use taxi all the time. I stayed near Sokcho express bus terminal/Sokcho beach this time, it save lots of transportation cost, so I enjoyed king crab.

The is a not springs foot bath in Sockcho that I have never experience elsewhere and is a great stop. We could have spent a week in the National Park on trails.

The beach was nice: not too crowded on week days but a little overcrowded on weekends. The sand was a little rough, so by the end of the day my feet were sore. If I went again I would only stay Monday-Friday, as parking near the beach was impossible to find on Saturday.

Sokcho-si is a beautiful coastal city located in the northeast of the Gangwon-Do province of South Korea.
The city is famous for its history, culture, national parks, natural beauty, and local cuisine. The city is a popular gateway to the famous Seoraksan National Park.
Unfortunately it was raining and we couldn't hike Seoraksan, but we were able to stroll around the city.

Seoraksan National Park was nearby & have great hiking trails. Lotsa of attractions & attractions in the city. Plentiful seafood available. There’s also chicken Dalai which is stir fried chicken with assortment. Stayed for 2 nites. Maybe should have an additional nite to explore more 😀 I drove but you can walk around.
The Hostel is well located and surrounded by main touristic places. The bus for Seoraksan National Park is just 2 blocks away from the Hostel.
As for the room, it's very comfortable and we'll equiped to make you feel at home. It's very quiet so you can sleep easily
The manager James is very kind and will help you finding best places to visit Sokcho.
I would definitely recommend this place for any person who want to spend time in one of the beautiful city of South Korea ! :)
The no contact check in and out was super easy and efficient. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy. Kitchen was fully equipped and bathroom was great. We stayed here as we wanted to visit Seoraksan National Park. The bus stop to the park was a 2 minute walk away and buses were very frequent so would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re going to the national park but want to stay somewhere that has a bit more to offer.
Self check-in was easy to use, different languages to choose from. Lovely view of Sockcho beach. Although the room is compact it has lots of storage, great facilities, a well-equipped kitchen, dining table and chairs, washing machine, excellent bathroom with a good shower and a comfortable bed. Great location, close to beach and express bus terminal to visit Seoraksan National Park. Highly recommend this hotel. Exceptional value.
Nice and practical place to stay if you want to visit Sokcho and Seoraksan. You'll get lots of information here on these popular destinations with Korean travelers! Will be busy on weekends. Cleaning in the main area is from 12-3 and lights go out at 11 pm. The breakfast is good and there's a fridge to store some things but no facilities for cooking (except microwave). Thank you for your kind hospitality!
Fantastic location close to the bus terminal and most major attractions of Sokcho. The room had plenty of space and was very clean. The owners are so helpful and friendly, they have lots of information and maps for the local area and in particular the Seoraksan National Park (which is easily accessible by bus, which stops pretty much outside of the Guesthouse).
Nice & simple rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Bed heater! (Very nice after a rainy hike) Good location for reaching Seoraksan park and you could also easily arrive from Sokcho station with bus 7-1. I loved the atmosphere around the place with the abandoned hotels!European breakfast and convenience store nearby.
Absolutely amazing staff service. Not only was the man extremely kind, but he instantly got out a map and helped us with all of our planning for the following day. He knew everything; from which bus to take to the mountains, where to eat and how to get back to the bus terminal the next day.
Host was so nice. If we had some questions, he replied to us every time, thank you so much. Every day room was very clean. Very near bus terminal. 15 min to the beach. And 20 min by bus to the main beach. Breakfast was included, it was really tasty, thank you. Neighbors were so friendly.
One of a few tidy business hotel in Sokcho.
It is located within a walking distance from a small beach
(you can use a ferry to reach the beach faster, one-way trip just 500 won)
There's a terrace where you eat take-outs in the third floor (the view is just okay).
It was very close to the intercity bus station, Lighthouse Observatory and Abai Village ferry. I borrowed a bike and rode to Sokcho Beach and Daepohang Port Light House.
My room was cozy, welcoming and clean. It was great for a one night stay.
The staff is really wonderful, very helpful and very hard working. The young ladies and men at the desk do everything, and in general the hotel clearly appears to be understaffed.
The breakfast is wonderful, and has improved over the years.
The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were extremely helpful. it was situated at a good location to go to sokcho beach and to move around as well. very convenient, especially since its opposite the bus terminal as well!
This place is located very close to the famous Seoraksan National park. All Sokcho attractions are within a short drive distance. The room was quite standard and rather small, but OK for a short stay. Breakfast was excellent.
The best thing about the hotel is the quality of the food - the chefs are good. Location is good if you want to be right in the national park, but this is not necessary - taxis and busses go from Sokcho all day every day.
Worst facility ever stayed…2 star facility and service at best, rated as 4 star and priced as 4 star hotel.
Called the front desk for toilet paper, and were told to come down to front desk to fetch it.
Room was clean and cute. Had a nice view of the Sokcho Eye, though our view of the sea was blocked by trees. Great location for exploring the beach, and nice brew pub/ coffee shops close by.
Big spacious comfortable clean room.
Good facilities.
The hotel has convenient store a cafe and restaurants inside the hotel.
Comfortable parking.
Beautiful view and pool
The hotel was in a nice location and it was easy to walk to the beach. The hotel was also in a convenient location for driving to other beaches in the vicinity.
