    Fair amount to site see...but could do so in a day or two.

    Fair amount to site see...but could do so in a day or two. Moms across the street had great burgers. Fried Chicken and fries plate was unbelievable! Delicious and alot!!! Easy a dinner for two or an appetizer for an entire table. Went to see local Japanese styled Buddhist Temple and small Museum of Strife which documented Japanese occupation of the area.

    The Western hotel was great and the people near and around...

    The Western hotel was great and the people near and around us were so sweet and nice. They loved that we were there visiting and went out of their ways to make us smile. Would love to visit again. We rented a car and traveled to many areas. We tried home in the wall places to eat and the food was great sorry did not write down the names of those places. Traveled around to see the many Temples and loved the family stories they told. Really would have loved to have had more time to look around but was cut a day short due to typhoon that had hit that area and our flight was delayed till next morning.

    Gunsan is a lovely city in the North Jeolla Province, South...

    Gunsan is a lovely city in the North Jeolla Province, South Korea. You can find some of the best-preserved Japanese colonial buildings in Korea. My recommendations are: Dongguksa Temple, the Old Gunsan Custom House, the Jinpo Maritime Park, The Hirotsu House in Sinheung-dong, the Gunsan Modern Architecture Exhibition Hall, the Chowon Studio - a must for Korean film lovers, the shooting scene for 'Christmas in August', Gunsan Modern History Museum, the Saemangeum Sea Wall and the Go-Gunsan Islands <3 The Gyeongamdong Railroad Town (although I didn't have time to visit it), there's a huge Teddy Bear Museum (I didn't visit it), Eunpa Lake Park (no time to visit),

    I love my stay here. This hostel is cozy, beautiful and really well thought: all the amenties is provided even earplugs to sleep in dorms. It's full of charm for a healing trip, and it's walking distance from all the attraction, even the bus station !! I've seen everything I had to in Gunsan, but I'll probably comeback for a rest gateway in winter, and enjoy the kotatsu ! ❤️

    We enjoyed our stay very much. The employees were very kind and helpful; the room was nice and comfortable. The hotel had a nice lounge where we spent time playing pool and relaxing in the massage chair in the evenings. The friendly staff also served a delicious breakfast in the lounge every morning. We recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Gunsan.

    The hotel itself was clean and we were offered a room with a bathtub. Staff were friendly and the view from our room was great! Parking was also easy and there was a cvs in front of the hotel. The beds were really comfortable!! Great place to stay for a getaway to the nearby islands! Would book again in the future!

    The beds and the breakfast were really good. It was super close to the airbase, and it costed 7,000 won to get on base. Perfect for those who want to stay off base. They had netflix and other activities which helped spending the time there, since it is away from the city. Would definitely stay there again.

    Excellent location, all attractions in Gunsan are within walking distance. Lee Seong-Dang, a famous patisserie in town became my favourite. A guy who received us (manager?) is very helpful and kind. He speaks good English. Though our room is basic, there's a nice communal room and kitchen.

    Hotel was in a nice area. We walked to an arcade and restaurant. The room had a double tub that was nice for couples to enjoy. The hotel had extra chargers for guest to use during their stay. Each room had a few refreshments in the fridge and an airconditoner/ purifier.

    Perfect place for a weekend getaway in Gunsan and exploring the surrounding islands. Especially the kotatsu, powder room and breakfast were very thoughtful and made staying at Hwadam Inn comfortable :) Stylish & affordable with a local vibe. Recommend 100%!!

    The room and bathroom were very clean. Would definitely use this accommodation again when visiting Gunsan. It’s close to the Bus terminal and the personnel knows English. Overall a pleasant stay!

    The hotel was fairly clean and the room was big. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Considering the price, the breakfast buffet was quite nice. There is a convenient store downstairs.

    Was pretty quiet despite it being next to the bus terminal, which is also really convenient if you don't have a way to move around. Close to a lot of places if you decide to walk.
