The location is superior! The hotel is right behind wonderful sand dunes and the sea is just a 5-minute walk through the dunes. The territory is just like on the pictures - not crowded and well-maintained. The sea is nice with some waves which depends on the wind - sometimes more wavy, sometimes less. I was in a beautiful apartment with two bedrooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom. There was a nice kitchen/diner with tv. And outside was a well furnished, covered, generously furnished living area. I stayed for eight nights and would have happily stayed a year. The pool is a good size and beautifully clean. All the gardens are well maintained. One can take a half hour walk to the Naivas supermarket and other town facilities (restaurants, banks, etc).

This hotel is quite the gem! Me and my colleagues came to Malindi for work. Our workshops are organised at nice hotels (Ocean Beach or Sandies type) in the area and we always try to stay at these hotels as well for convenience. It was our 4th time in Malindi and everything was booked this time around so me and my colleagues were in search of a different hotel. We found Lion's and what a discovery!! Worth the try, I highly recommend! The food is delicious, the hotel is comfortable and quiet, pristine clean and the staff is absolutely lovely. They made our work week very comfortable!
