Location is great. Property is beautiful. They provide toiletries for you that is amazing of it in it self. Room was big and bathroom was as well. I'd stay here again.
Just 1148 feet from Aka Island’s ferry terminal, the completely nonsmoking Hanamuro Inn offers simple air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and shared bathrooms.

The location is great, the room quaint, the facility well maintained, the food plentiful, conveniently prepared and delicious, but what is really amazing is how much the staff cares about your well being. I'd go back there if I ever have the chance to come back to Aka

The staff was very friendly and helpful.. The meals were varied and delicious. We appreciated the shuttle service to and from the port. Thank you to the staff!

All rooms are private at this pension. A stunning beach with an uninhabited Island is within a few minutes walking distance, excellent store close by, staff are friendly, free shuttle service that runs to the port, and back, just look for the blue see friend bus and get on it, it is always there after the ferry arrives
the pension is old and charming, fridge and electric kettle are provided, kayak and gear hire are there, the pension is the only place on the island where I found I could hire a kayak as a solo traveler, the rest seemed to be tour only. Maybe there are other places as well. Overall a friendly pension on a friendly island
We got to see turtles at Ama Beach which was wonderful.
We got to see turtles at Ama Beach which was wonderful. We also rented an electric ‘car’ for 4 hours ($50) and were able to ride around the entire island. The accommodation (Blue Marine) was conveniently located and the breakfast and dinner (included in our arrangement) were top-notch. We especially appreciated the delicious fresh sashimi each evening with our meal. Taguchi-san created a great variety of delectable meals.

Take food with you if you are going off-season!!!!
It’s very difficult to find food. There are two small stores selling snacks/ beer but that’s about it. Oh, the fresh seafood takeaway place is open early and sells very delicious ( and huge) onigiri plus fried fish ( ONE PIECE=¥100). There’s nothing else open in the morning.

better beaches than Aka and that Tokashiki for a normal beach use. For diving perhaps Aka is better
Port should have more and cleaner facilities for the travellers
300 yen for a 7 minute ride from the port to the beach in a crowded old bus without air condition sounds like a great business for the service operator.

Loved Zamami.
Loved Zamami. Furuzamami had the most amazingly clear water and coral. Village has a nice feel with many restaurant options. Be sure to reserve as we saw many people being turned away as Restaurants were full. We liked Zamami more than Tokashiki. We did diving with JoyJoy who were great with our 12 year old son who had never dived before.

Lovely place for fun with friends or relaxing on your own.
Lovely place for fun with friends or relaxing on your own. It's just a 50 mins boat ride from Naha, but you need to properly check the ferry schedules because they only have limited number of trips to and fro. Their english website also needs to be updated for events, because when we went there (18-19May), most of the restaurants were closed due to Zamami Cup. But we still had a lot of fun on the beach and the sea! Zamami is a good place for sunbathing, snorkelling, glass-bottom-boat riding, stargazing, and walking around town. I would've loved to try the yoga paddle board.

We stayed on Aka, Zamami's smaller neighbour.
We stayed on Aka, Zamami's smaller neighbour. There is one beautiful swimming beach and a tiny town with guesthouses and maybe 2 cafes.
It's perfect if you want to get away from it all and enjoy a slice of paradise
We had an unforgettable time at the hotel. The hotel itself is very modern and the equipment is of highest standard.
The hotel is located very close to the harbor and both Ama Beach and Furuzamami beach can be reached within a 20 minutes walk or by the local bus. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and probably the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. There were also very child friendly and prepared to host our kids. We will never forget our time at the hotel.
The place is really clean, has all necessary utilities. The only thing you might not find is towel, but you can rent it for 100-200¥. The owner is super helpful, kind, and can speak English! She picked/dropped me at the port by car (even though her place is really close), on the sudden rainy day she drove all the way to Furuzamami beach to give me umbrella (or pick me). The price/comfort is super good value. I would highly recommend the stay in Okinawa resort cottage!
Very quiet, in the middle of the village. We did not bring a car, and had two boys (5 & 8). We were able to walk anywhere in the village in 1-4 minutes.
It is a 20-25 min walk to Ama beach and Furuzamami beach. Or a 2 min shuttle/bus ride.
The owners are very kind, and happy to accommodate. There are rooms with toilets, but the one we stayed in did not. The shared bathrooms/shower rooms are very clean and well kept. I give this property my highest recommendation.
This accomodation lies perfectly situated on Zamami Island a 10-15 minute walk from the main village at the amazing Ama beach. The hosts are really friendly and helpful and the breakfast is amazing. They also serve dinner, but we haven't tried it. The rooms are clean and nice and the futon mattress on the tatami mats gave us germans a real japanese ryokan experience. When we return to Zamami island, we would love to stay here again.
This is THE place to stay in Zamami! It is clean, close to the beach and the food is amazing! But most of all, Miyahira-San and his wife are wonderful hosts! They took such good care of us and went above and beyond our expectations! So friendly, professional and helpful, I highly recommend staying here or at least going to dinner here!
Miyahira-San was a chef in Tokyo for decades, this was by far the best food we had all week!
Had a great time staying at Port village, staff was very helpful and accommodated early check-in for us. Highly recommend renting the two seater E-cars available at the property, definitely worth it if you want to explore different parts of the island, perfect for couples, we made it work with a two year old. Will definitely stay here again! International drivers license may be required for the car rental, SOFA ok 👍
I truly enjoyed my stay here at Kanasuba Zamami. Their lovely garden was quiet and beautifully arranged. The owners and employees have a friendly and thoughtful way of treating their guests -from the oldest to the youngest guests. The breakfast was artfully created with each dish offering a special quality. Highly recommend this to a traveler with is looking for a beautiful Japanese experience.
A 5-min walk from Zamami port in a quiet neighborhood with two eateries on either side.
We could walk to either AMA beach or Furuzami beach in about 20 minutes.
This place is perfect for those who want a genuinely laid-back , rustic but CLEAN and reasonably priced accommodation with the option of staying in a small, private room like we had.
Thank you to the kind staff. Zamami is the best!
Everything. The rooms were cosy and spacious, the facilities spotless, the food delicious, the location by the sea and close to the port excellent, but mostly the kindness and friendliness of the team running the inn, their attention to their guests and the relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Could not recommend enough for a laid-back chill and relaxing stay in Aka Island. Will come back.
It’s a two storey house with only two bedrooms for guests. Comfortable beds and bathroom with all facilities. The owner is local who came back to the island after 43 years in Tokyo as a chef. Beautiful dinners and good breakfasts.
3minutes from the town bus and amazing beach for snorkelling and turtles watching
Very recommended
We were happy to find out that we were picked up and dropped off at the ferry. The meals were spectacular! We were not expecting such well prepared meals and service. The owners and staff were so extremely kind and helpful in directing us the best places on island!
Friendly option for several people staying together. Cooking space and microwave, fridge and free washing machine makes it great for longer stays. In the outskirts of the village, so it is quiet but still close to village center and ferry.
Very friendly owner.
Staff doesn't speak english, but Is very understandable. She offered us a lot of services and was very polite and kind. Position is wonderful, just in front of the beach and 3 minutes walking by the port.
You can use hotel facilities also after check-out
The guest house is located conveniently a couple of minutes walk from the ferry port. Rooms are basic, but adequate. They serve a good Western-style breakfast.
Excellent. Clean, very well located, excellent staff and with all facilities for a stay in an island. We could cancel one night for free one day before.
