Car park is so big that allowed to stay my car after check out while Konpira shrine visit, also the free umbrella hire which is very solid and even able to use as the climbing stick.

They were very accommodating. They kept my backpack for me in the morning before my check in so I could go to Konpira san. The room was spacious. The breakfast was good. But the best thing was the rooftop onsen! I had it all to myself!

The facility was centrally located. The owners and staff were very accommodating. We were able to communicate adequately even though they didn't speak English and we didn't speak Japanese. The onsens were super clean and the water was toasty. We were impressed with our experience and would not hesitate to stay at the Takaraya again if we ever return to Kotohira.
