    A nice and quiet center location to visit and use to take short trips to local cities (Moji, Mojiko, Kokura, Yamaguchi-city, Hofu). LOcal train rides are cheap (less than $3 each way to most nearby cities)

    If you like to enjoy the fresh fish , you should go there!!

    If you like to enjoy the fresh fish , you should go there!! there is a great fish market where you can either buy some fish or eat around there ...restaurant are great!! fresh sashimi's, sushi's...etc...in the front of the fish market they have a wonderful temple too!!! Shimonoseki makes you feel relax and its a very convenient city
