I was extremely impressed by this property. I did not know about this chain, which features delicious dining options in natural settings near national parks. I stayed in the newest wing of this 10 year old hotel. It felt luxurious like any western hotel, but with a deep Japanese sensibility. Thankfully, I have some language ability which made staying here far easier. I think it might be challenging for someone to stay here who does not have any Japanese language skill. 10-15 min walk from Moro station. The Japanese style room is beautiful and spacious. The room and shared bathroom were clean. Free coffee, tea, snacks, toothbrushes, shampoo, and soap are provided. The free wifi worked well. The person who checked me in was kind, and informed me of when other travellers were coming. She also asked me when I would take a shower so that I could use it when I wanted, which was really considerate of her. Most of all, the futon was SO comfortable.

It was very spacious, with a balcony also. There was a microwave, which was very handy. It had a top sheet on the bed, which I always appreciate. Also, there were plenty of hangers. Very cheap.

The staff gave me an allergen menu when I checked in for our breakfast - this was very helpful. We were not expecting to find such an amazingly beautiful flower garden adjacent to the hotel! We had a wonderful walk and also enjoyed walking around the temple next to the hotel.

The carpet looked clean and the bed was clean and comfortable enough. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. There was no hot water pot in the room but there was a coffee and tea service in the lobby. The room we booked was smoking, even though we don't smoke, since it was all that was available, but this was endurable, since the window was thankfully able to open wide to allow fresh air into the room and remove the strong cigarette odor. The large window also provided a pleasant view of the quiet street and cityscape below, as well as plenty of natural light.

Charming inn of renovated old houses with a common area that comes with free water and other beverages. Spacious rooms with designated functions. Perfect for families and couples. We ate our breakfast at the washitsu, drank the free beer in the living room and had a relaxing bath. We also used the private onsen and sauna. The inn booked us a reservation at a nearby restaurant. You can keep your luggage at the reception area or sent nearby the station as you continue to explore the town. Great location, restaurants, shops, convenient stores are just a walk away.
